My day to day work wearing face shield is uncomfortable “get steamy and fog, I also need to speak louder when communicating with others. this mayor speaks using real life experience in the street and never tries to be somebody that he is not. He commands respect for this reason.

I admire Mayor Isko for his respectable, responsible, knowledgeable response. Added to that his honesty and sincerity.
Here In Germany and Europe, face shields and goggles were and are never required. Not even in hospitals.
Mask is required everywhere. And proper ventilation , distancing of tables and chairs , and disinfecting is always emphasized especially in eating places, doctors offices, hair parlors, etc.
In trams , trains and buses, doctors offices , schools, supermarkets and hospitals masks and proper ventilation is always emphasized for added protection.
Alcohol dispensers are available in all doctors offices, hair parlor, supermarkets, malls, restaurants, public toilets, schools, etc. for added protection.
Early treatment is crucial.
The first 3-5 days are important if one is tested positive with or without symptoms, to avoid hospitalizations and deaths. I admire Mayor Isko’s prompt response for setting up this field hospital in Manila with free testing and early treatment.
Also Mayor Isko’s fast response in buying the oral drugs or medicines to treat patients against Covid is commendable.
And the fast information he gives to the people to help them feel safer.
As said by many USA doctors, a strong immune system is also important to fight Covid.
Hopefully healthy food, vegetables, fruits will soon be affordable by all.

The people here in Germany and Europe and even hospitals are not using face shields.

I am surprised and disgusted about this proposed goggles of some politicians in the government . These goggles were and are never required here in Germany/Europe.
Restaurants, hair parlor, Doctor’s office , conditors/ bakery’s where one sits and eats, the tables and chairs are always disinfected. Proper ventilation everywhere , disinfecting, and social distancing are being done and masks everywhere.
Better to buy the available medicines.It has been said by many doctors, in the USA that early treatment is necessary to avoid hospitalization and deaths. Full of admiration for Mayor Isko for setting up a field hospital mainly for Covid
patients. And free testing.
Also the immune system should be improved. Doc Willie has given many tips in his TH-cam channel.

Tama nga naman, ang face shield actually is only useful sa medical settings. It has no role sa public. Dapat alam nila ang purpose ng face shield. Since may mask mandate naman, face shields are no longer helpful, its more of a nuisance. Nakakatawa at nakakahiya talaga tayo, we are really showing the world how incompetent we are. We don't even know what the face shields are for.

At the same time, madami hindi naniniwala sa existence ng pandemic sa US. Face shields are designed to prevent getting contaminated materials on your face from splashes, sprays and droplets, heavy molecules. It does not protect you from airborne viruses like COVID. But since we already have a mask mandate, those things never happen in public, only in hospitals wherein doctors and medical personnel may eventually engage patients without masks for emergency procedures. I hope you understand that.

Faceshields are useless if there is no liquid discharge aimed at the face at most the face shield only works as a barrier for our hands to not come into contact with our face when we come into contact with items that may be possibly touched by others i.e door knob, store items etc. However this can be prevented if we practice disinfecting before and after touching anything.

Great job Mayor of Manila. Faceshields is not necessary. Just a waste of money and it goes to the dump and to the ocean. There are no recycling program on these.
