He's not really that much of a relevant character in the MCU. They might do something with him in the future otherwise he's probably last resort for them. There are lots of new characters and arcs to focus on leading to the new avengers.

It's all the reason why it didn't break the 1 billion mark in the 2nd week because if kids and teens got to see it it would probably have gotten more already more at this point. So it's a double edge sword in that regard. They'd have to tone him down sadly for him to be a central figure in the MCU, which would lose some of his appeal.

Also they've got to tackle the problem where an accurately depicted Deadpool can really only ever be the main character any time he appears, because he's self aware of the fact that he's in a movie/comic and constantly breaks the fourth wall. There's just no way to make that work in a more typical MCU movie, especially not an ensemble one like The Avengers, where other more "serious" characters need to share equal screen space with him. The Deadpool movies are basically comedy movies and spoofs of the superhero genre first, and superhero movies second, because that's just what Deadpool is.

They can censor him but he needs to be meta about it as well and acknowledging in the movie that he's being censored for the kids.

Now with the entire slate of Marvel characters at their disposal, they can literally cherry pick who they want to see Deadpool with next. No way are they stopping now, especially after this crosses $1 billion. I would love to see Deadpool and Rocket together, at least for a couple of scenes.
I think it would be fuckin awesome if Deadpool "randomly" just popped up in future marvel movies, him time jumping or multiverse jumping,or if he showed up in big scenes and you'd try and spot him(where's Waldopool?)

It will be hard for Disney. If he shows up in an Avengers movie both the character and actor playing him will be clear standout's. It is a great problem to have in having such an amazing character and that was a problem making this movie with Wolverine and they pretty much nailed it so it is possible but I do hope Deadpool shows up in other movies, gets the showing he does deserve without spoiling the movie and Disney have a direction.
I mean even on a smaller scale if he has a story arch for something and its an 8 part Disney+ show similar to the first he is solving a bit of a mystery there would be loved if done right.
The core problem still is how are Disney going to get the X-men properly into their MCU. Fantastic 4 is in the past and Blade was a clear BIG HIT in this movie so we need to see Blade as well but how is the multiverse going to come together and settle down so future movies are less complicated with time and universe.
If you understand pool he pops up at everything he’s going to be in every cameo ever till he’s 90
I do think there will be a Deadpool 4 I just don’t expect to see Wolverine for a while
In like 10 years I want an older Deadpool as a wiser man, a husband and father passing his knowledge to his children. Could bring back older enemies and friends and all as well.

Great film but you can see the edges beginning to fray. If Ryan is staying on I think it will be a long wait for the next one.
There better no Deadpool 4, I do respect cameos to other movies tho, espcially Secret Wars, hope Deadpool plays a important role and further completing and achieving his arc of the validation of being an respected superhero
That’s a joke. There is 100% going to be another Deadpool. You don’t make the biggest opening ever for an R rated film and not get a sequel. It’s the 3rd highest grossing r rated film of all time. It’s undoubtedly going to hit $1 million and surpass Oppenheimer. Leaving only Joker, which it will probably beat also. We’re getting Deadpool 4, 5, 6 and he’ll probably be in secret wars.

@@brucewayne8158 oh, I'm sure they'lll do both. Disney is cheap, but Reynolds has proven to be a good investment. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to give him Feige's job when he retires.

It was one, standalone move... which is partly why people connected. It honored what came before, but you didn't have to watch 20 movies to enjoy this one.
