EastEnders portrayal of Trevor Morgan was a total farce. They turned him into a psychopath, a pure villain, which for somebody like him is absolutely wrong. He should have portrayed as an overall nice guy but with a quick temper and partially because Mo was the nearest person to him, he took that out on her and additionally, he felt more relaxed in his own home than anywhere else so with less inhibitions, he didn't refrain from anger there .
Thats what most psychopaths are like. Overall nice people but quick to temper. Not all of them but most.
Take Lucas Johnson for example, an overall nice guy, nothing about him suggests that hes abnormal upstairs but yet has a short fuse. He and Trevor are alike.
Robert Bendix - When it comes to the ways domestic abusers keep up appearences in public, there is no one size fits all. Not every one of them is going to show themselves as "butter wouldn't melt" in real life, particularly when the family of their spouse are constantly chipping away at them like Little Mo's (rightly) were during this point of the storyline. The more the Slaters wound Trevor up, and the closer they got to the truth, the more his mask kept slipping.
I thought it was done quite well personally. From a viewer's standpoint, we got to see how the mask slipped and more of his dark side gradually shown both for viewers and the other characters in his storylines.
It's true to life as the mask always slips in the end with psychopaths, hence a lot of violent ones wind up in prison.
