- Recently an Israeli friend introduced me to some Israeli music. This one particular song called "Mimaamakim (Out of the Depths)" by Idan Raichel captured me. (Partly because the title is taken from Psalm 130, even though it's a secular song and has nothing to do with the Psalm.) The art that was put in the lyrics and the melody was just incredible. I had to cover it. So here's my rendition of the song!

Such a beautiful cover of one of my favourite songs. While it's never safe to assume these things, I'm going to go on a limb that you aren't a native Hebrew speaker - which one would absolutely not be able to assume based on listening to you singing (the accent is very close to that of a native speaker and the intonation and word focus are exceptional).
As anyone who tried to speak or sing in a non-native language would know, capturing the song authentically is very hard, and you absolutely nailed it.
