The experience of the culture was just elite & even just having the sun does wonders for your mental health.
I really really do understand because I'm a Jamaican living out side of Jamaica and I would give anything right now to go back there to live even doh I lost my ole family I'm happier their real happy
A real talk everybody think foreign is everything ppl over here is stressing and tired that’s y who can afford it travel often everybody busy busy busy
Jamaicans in the USA knows that this story don’t add up. Yes the situations he speaks about are true but this youth is lying about something. But that’s the problem with living your life in public. For those who don’t know: you cannot live outside the USA for an extended period of time with a green card u will loose it. So let’s see
@@evafras1358 actually you absolutely can. You have to know how long that is and return. No one knows how long he’s been in Jamaica so far. If he is an entrepreneur he can trace to work. We don’t know his situation so we cannot judge or say no that’s not what it is.
@@evafras1358 it seems you dont really know much about immigration and the rights of green card holder. Perhaps Go on the website and read!! Out here a chat shit - bout things nah add up! Move man, u too nuff
I feel like this is the other side that people don't talk about. So many people push migration and the "promise" of America, not considering that what works for Tom, may not serve Harry. So many nuggets in this (delivered with humour and intellect as per usual). Blessings.
Just a quick comment u said you didn’t av ur green card so am suspecting what u used to travel but just remember u cant stay too long on it so do ur thing and return as soon as possible hope you get well bro you have to live for you 👏👏

My only concern is that after being here for so long if I was to move back no matter how humble I live I’m afraid someone would come and kill me because they THINK THINK I have money.
This!! The most difficult part of being back for me is the lack of customer service, I would take 1millon hard days in Jamaica over 1 hard day in the states…..it’s not the same!
Wow! Just wow! Glad so far you are able to go into a white neighborhood and walk around without being shot. Glad you are moving up in your job without being the token black. Glad you are having your best life not having to worry about being killed/harassed by the police if you drive a nice car. Glad that you don't have to worry about mass murders or being shot and killed just going to church, going to a supermarket, going to the movie, sending your children to school. Plenty of people have traveled and lived abroad and moved back to Jamaica and living their best lives. Jamaica is moving into a developed country where outsiders are moving there and investing and living their best lives and just waiting for the day when the Logistics Hub is buzzing and Ja becomes as wealthy as Singapore. From an older and perhaps wiser head, I would encourage you to think wisely as I also encourage my families in the USA and Canada, to get your piece of land in Ja asap, that you will not lose out on the upcoming opportunities in Jamaica.

FACTS!!! More people need to keep it real. To make it in the states in a real way takes a lot of work. Too many people go back to Jamaica flex like they have it when they don’t, all that does is give people a false sense of what it’s like to live in the US.
@@redkoadplayer7289 congrats to you bro, I know a lot of successful Jamaicans here as well. I myself have done very well for myself. He was speaking mainly to being here undocumented and having to figure things out. Even if qualified it’s hard to get a great paying job without papers and you’ll need a great support system
Depends on how you define quality of life and the stage and phase your in. I can tell u if Jamaica is able to get their economy sorted out and control crime there would be a wave of people returning. America is fast becoming a less attractive, less appealing place for many. Still grateful for the opportunities that I’ve been granted here but it’s fast becoming a hamster wheel and disconnected society. The day will come when most Jamaicans wish they could return but won’t be able to afford Jamaica. The future has a strange way of changing trajectory.

I know how you feel, I normally visit the US and spend a few months, and within 2 weeks I am ready to come back to JA, homesick and feel unhappy, like fish outta water; always lose weight coming back. I feel more comfortable a yard. My dad is a good chef can make the fresh water fish take like its from the sea, however it does not taste the same as when he did it back home. Your talking truth Jaii🤩
Bro am living in Atlanta currently just want to big you up jahfras, but a real talk bro people back home have the wrong idea about foreign am really glad you're addressing this is just living from pay check to pay check and bills if you're coming here just to work and go bk home that good cause you can see the money that way but if you're planning to live here just brace your self stress and a total cultural stock am telling you it's a cultural shock for me when I got here, but I think everyone need to come and experience for them self.
Every foreign country is work & sleep And pay bills no time for your self or family I mean it’s a great opportunity but it comes with consequence,it’s just pure work I live in Canada and I work 16hr everyday day as a supervisor in the airport & I still can hardly make ends meet🥺

I don’t know how and why I came across this video, but I’m glad I did because believe mi when I tell yuh in my 5th year I got a break through but buju have a song that says “ it’s not an easy road many see the glamour and glitter and dem think it’s a bed a rose, but who feels it know” this country can build you or break you, that decision is yours but if you chose to come as a kitten try and leave as a lion, physical strength is not the only what is required but everything else, take heed and follow the warnings, to be honest if you come here a struggle it should motivate you because the one who came here on filling and never been through no rough times most of dem just waste out dem time and do a bag of foolishness it’s like dem tun fool, no pain no gain. Be blessed
Thank you for this video. My girl wants to move and I'm choosing to stay because ik it's a struggle in the US. Hope you get the relaxation you need. Nuff love🙏
It’s stressful if you don’t live within your means. Work hard and remember to take the time off for yourself and family. The state plays a roll in how you live too. Just find the right living situation for you and all will fall in place as long as you have perseverance and the will to make shit happen.
Realest things i heard in a while no lies told America is indeed a hard place to navigate and get on top easily. Takes hard work and it gets lonely and tiresome at times .
People if America's not for you or things don't work out & you still want to leave Jamaica there are 190+ other countries you can go to & try your luck. UK & Canada are not as harsh as the US & have tons of opportunities & benefits. European countries & UK also have massive worker shortages need all types of people, some European countries (I think it's Germany & Sweden) have visas where they allow you in & let you apply for a job whilst you're visiting the country & if you get a job with a company willing to sponsor you you can stay
Uk economy a fail, recession in the EU (gas price plus 50 percentage tax), america better minus healthcare and you can choose bluestates, can work overtime (illegal in most eu countries) the more skill you be the better your life, if you can get a remote job in the USA and sort the taxes, then you can live at a cheap country
@@s3cret77 cost of living crisis is EVERYWHERE right now including the US where inflation is shooting up. And to be honest racism is worse in the US. In some plqces you get it in your face, you get the subtle racism everywhere, & racism is so deeply entrenched in the US' system that you don't even realise it until you medz it. In the UK you'll only really come across subtle racism & rarely ever face heavy racism to your face especially if you choose to live in or around the bigger cities. I wouldn't ever recommend living in the UK or any country for that matter illegally. The hostile enviornment only effects those who aren't legal but if you come in legally & have your papers right you're good
This is very relatable. It’s the same living in other Caribbean Islands. Home is home. And that food thing is real. Food will never be the same even if you bring up the seasoning.
It wasn’t until 2 yrs ago that I decided to take a trip to Jamaica as a tourist. Don’t spend your time there w/ your family because it won’t feel like a vacation (especially bc them expect things) but go to a resort and do all the excursions. I fell in love w/ my country again through the eyes of a tourist.
Bro I like your topic. I really enjoying it I needed to hear this from someone who I have experience living abroad I have a platform to educate the people in Jamaica and the rest of Caribbean and internationally worldwide who is listening. We need this education. I myself living in America. I grew up in America. I leave Jamaica in the 70s. When I left Jamaica every week and I thought I could just jump on a plane I get a car and come back to Jamaican party and come back to work Monday morning that’s the way I feel Jamaica was really really nice loving And a very happy have a place to be. So when I left I really had to miss Jamaica and wanted to come back. My mom and she was a registered nurse in America so we had a good life decide the racism. yeah so when my mom returned back to Jamaica and it was time for us to break out and make it an hour on the system change. Because it was a stigma against Black people. 95% of Black people from the island who is doing well in America they win in the job business as somebody paid a sacrifice for them to be up there now. The white Supremus did not make it either for the black to rise up financially. They make it very hard and difficult. So I want you to use this platform to educate people about far in life and survival in America thank you bro
I left in the 80s as a child. That is around the time the mass migration started due to the rising of prices and shortages of groceries. That was under Michael Manley. But later in life it was all CIA sabotage because of Jamaica closeness to Cuba and wanted to do things to help poorer Jamaicans. Also that was the time of real political violence created by both political parties having garrisons fighting garrisons

😅 same thing happened to me this year I went for 4.5 months mi owna family lol but when I left I didn't tell anyone they just see the updates on the WhatsApp. Dem lucky.

I feel this on so many level. I’ve lived in London 🇬🇧 my whole life. 2021 I visited Jamaica after 10 years of not visiting, one year later I'm in the process of moving back permanently (well for a while). The experience of the culture was just elite & even just having the sun does wonders for your mental health.
I really really do understand because I'm a Jamaican living out side of Jamaica and I would give anything right now to go back there to live even doh I lost my ole family I'm happier their real happy
If a lot a people had the chance to go back home and maintain them self fi a while to gather back them self they would! Real talk
I love how raw and unfiltered you are.
I love the idea of going to Jamaica for a mental cleanse. Amazing video!
Love this blog tell them Jamaica is beautiful island America is land of opportunity, but Jamaica is home
A real talk everybody think foreign is everything ppl over here is stressing and tired that’s y who can afford it travel often everybody busy busy busy
This is so real and I hope a lot of people watch this video
Jay I feel you. That’s exactly how I feel about Jamaica. I want to come back home bc I am TIRED!!!
@@tilted_notbroken950 🙌🏿
@@evafras1358 it seems you dont really know much about immigration and the rights of green card holder. Perhaps Go on the website and read!! Out here a chat shit - bout things nah add up! Move man, u too nuff
I know exactly what ur saying I left Jamaica from $2014 and I literally feel lost, depressed, stress and I'm definitely ready to move back home
I feel like this is the other side that people don't talk about. So many people push migration and the "promise" of America, not considering that what works for Tom, may not serve Harry. So many nuggets in this (delivered with humour and intellect as per usual). Blessings.
Just a quick comment u said you didn’t av ur green card so am suspecting what u used to travel but just remember u cant stay too long on it so do ur thing and return as soon as possible hope you get well bro you have to live for you 👏👏
@@marciarobinson1030 he has a green card now-he was saying he did not have a green card issue because people were saying he lost his green card and cannot travel again due to being deported
This is def facts and I’m a born American with no ties to Jamaica as far as family goes but I’ve been there a few times and In the process of planning to move there officially. My Jamaican friends thinks that I’m crazy cuz who gonna leave America right but the peace and freedom that Jamaica provides trumps everything else. Ppl tired asf foreal and no time for self but in Jamaica I can live like a queen for less than wat I’m paying here so it’s worth it for me.

My only concern is that after being here for so long if I was to move back no matter how humble I live I’m afraid someone would come and kill me because they THINK THINK I have money.
Honestly, I don’t think it’s that deep tbh… god forbid anything like that but just know it wouldn’t come from a stranger
What, yu lil money cnt even compared to the choppa them, unuh believe Jamaica 🇯🇲 out dated to development, or Jamaica is back un in the days when barrel afi come, everything weh deh America sell in closest town in Jamaica, I understand ur point but people here living better yu in America but thing is yu got be cautious of places yu or stay and people yu choose to have around you. Simple
Your supporters are conspiracy theorists akin to Qanon people in America. Quite frankly, Jamaica does not need all you 'wealthy' people there. Stay living 'happy' in whichever country you amassed your 'wealth.'
I been trying to explain to people how I feel way better when I’m in Ja and they just don’t get it because it’s “foreign” this explains how I feel now I have to share it to them. Cause jah know this place yah depressing!

FACTS!!! More people need to keep it real. To make it in the states in a real way takes a lot of work. Too many people go back to Jamaica flex like they have it when they don’t, all that does is give people a false sense of what it’s like to live in the US.
No bronit depends on how u come an what u do I came to USA as engineer I promise u will never get or earn what I earn fam
@@redkoadplayer7289 congrats to you bro, I know a lot of successful Jamaicans here as well. I myself have done very well for myself. Jamaica is a noisy set a people.
quality of life bro, it's the small details that matter, there's way more to do in the US, Jamaica get repetitive as fuck after a while
Depends on how you define quality of life and the stage and phase your in.

The honesty is so reel in this one..Big Up Yaad
Listen here. When you touch pan the financial literacy. That right deh so is a big fact. People need a lot of education on that. Bless up.
Every foreign country is work & sleep
And pay bills no time for your self or family
I mean it’s a great opportunity but it comes with consequence,it’s just pure work
I live in Canada and I work 16hr everyday day as a supervisor in the airport & I still can hardly make ends meet🥺
Same Jamaica
Me live a foreign from me a 11 bro and all me can say is just make who can't hear feel ya man cause them think say a joke thing when you broke down certain things to them. Me know see wah Marcus Garvey did a go thru

Oh lord thank you for this, I'm in America and saving my money to go back home, it is the land of opportunity, but I don't wanna do it long term, no wey nuh betta than yard, blessings 🙏 🙂
I don’t know how and why I came across this video, but I’m glad I did because believe mi when I tell yuh in my 5th year I got a break through but buju have a song that says “ it’s not an easy road many see the glamour and glitter and dem think it’s a bed a rose, but who feels it know” this country can build you or break you, that decision is yours but if you chose to come as a kitten try and leave as a lion,
physical strength is not the only what is required but everything else, take heed and follow the warnings, to be honest if you come here a struggle it should motivate you because the one who came here on filling and never been through no rough times most of dem just waste out dem time and do a bag of foolishness it’s like dem tun fool, no pain no gain. Be blessed
some people really dont know im born in uk and trust work work work i love ja it gives me great mind of freedom
I fucking love this guy realness 👍🏾🇯🇲
Thank you for this video. My girl wants to move and I'm choosing to stay because ik it's a struggle in the US. Hope you get the relaxation you need. Nuff love🙏
100% correct nuh matter how the food look its not the same
Yu 100 percent right bro..America nuh easy…yu just work work 💯
So you don't need to work in Jamaica?
Our Passports can take us to about 85 different countries without Visa…
How do you get to apply for those places tht sponsor you
I think you have to take UK out of the equation the cost of living crisis and the increase racism and hostile environment comes to mind
Uk economy a fail, recession in the EU (gas price plus 50 percentage tax), america better minus healthcare and you can choose bluestates, can work overtime (illegal in most eu countries)
the more skill you be the better your life, if you can get a remote job in the USA and sort the taxes, then you can live at a cheap country
The hostile enviornment only effects those who aren't legal but if you come in legally & have your papers right you're good
Shoot I used Texas to farm money, I cannot wait to moved back home Jamaica upper St Andrew's
True .. I live in Canada and I just get sick a d place.
I can relate.
Nice video bruh, thanks for telling us what's going on
This is very relatable.
The peak of Jim crow segregation
I left in the 80s as a child. That is around the time the mass migration started due to the rising of prices and shortages of groceries. That was under Michael Manley. But later in life it was all CIA sabotage because of Jamaica closeness to Cuba and wanted to do things to help poorer Jamaicans. Also that was the time of real political violence created by both political parties having garrisons fighting garrisons
Like how can I share this every where!!! Whenever I tell this exact story, people look at me funny! I Always tell them to each is there own.... but I'll be in Jamaica cause that's where it's at. Foreign only nice fi vacation...

Welcome back, do what makes you happy Jaii
I am here in Jamaica since December and I don't even want to go back , I can wake up and don't have to think about nothing or no one . I just wake up one day and hop on a plane and come home , the greatest thing I build a home so I don't pay rent
