- An authentic safari experience in the middle of Kenya's busiest city, Nairobi. This is Ololo Safari Lodge & Farm located inside Nairobi National Park, the perfect place to experience an authentic Kenyan safari for anyone who does not have the time or simply do not want to leave the capital.
This safari camp offers different kinds of accommodations from family cottage to cozy little rooms perfect for a couple getaway. We stayed in their tower room which has a rooftop patio and a small balcony overlooking the beautiful pool. This is for sure their best room!
One think that truly makes Ololo Lodge stand out is their farm to table experience. They have a farm when there grow fruits and vegetables, raise ducks and chicken and even have a few cows for dairy. This farm provides them with fresh ingredients daily and elevates the taste of every single dish served on property.
Finally, they offer game drives in open safari vehicles inside Nairobi National Park where you can see almost everything from lions to rhinos and even leopards if you are lucky!

Just like any other game park, this place is best when it greens up in the rainy season and the lush savanna and shrubs attracts even more grazers.

Ololo lodge looks really impressive. On the contrary though, I think Nairobi national park stands out for it's uniqueness. It's the only park in the world within the city limits; the animals are in their natural habitat of 117km² area, it's not a zoo. Again for me, I think the city skyline backdrop makes it even more enticing. It offers luxury and wilderness at the same time and a haven for great photography!
Its for sure very unique. I just appreciated being deep into the wild.

Hi love you both and your fabulous Vlogs. I'm from India and loved your Indian Vlogs. Your vlogs from Africa are just superb. A bit of advice please. We are a senior couple and would like to go on a safari to Africa - Maasai Mara, Serengeti or wherever you think would be ok for us seniors. Please suggest with Lodges and approx cost from Nairobi and Back. Cost is also a concern but not at the cost of comfort. Regards, love and all the best for what you are doing.

Nairobians just don't appreciate how lucky they are to have this right next to one of the largest cities in Africa. They say there are not enough parks and green spaces in city centre? This more than makes up for it.

I still don't understand why u have never visited western parts of Kenya like kisumu city and so on ☹️💔
We work with business to create our video right and to be honest not hotel camp restaurant or any business have ever approched us from there... But we will come at some point.
To be fair there isn't much of a safari in the Western part of Kenya but I'm sure he could try some hotel reviews like Imperial, Impala sanctuary in Kisumu and ofcourse lake Victoria, largest lake in Africa and second largest in the world. Kakamega rainforest and probably the Rift valley highlands with their panoramic tea plantations.

I've been waiting for their call for almost 3 years... 😅
I was terribly disappointed with the lodge. Airplanes flying overhead day and night. There are earplugs next to the bed so guests can sleep at night. Not what you want when going to a Safari Lodge. More disappointing is that they offered to only refund 40% of the total after I checked out day 1 of 3. Absolutely ruined my Kenya trip.
That I do agree with... The planes are not ideal at all but like we said in the review, we would only suggest that camp for people who are not able to leave Nairobi during a short stay.

Loll I suffer all day Monday to Friday in a windowless office! The. Work on our aocial media every evening and work to make content like this for camps and hotels every weekend. So we have 2 jobs! Don't believe everything you see on social media! Loll
It's just a matter of planning and focus. Granted, safari holidays don't come cheap and most folks plan it for years and most as a retirement treat.
The advantage of living and working in Kenya and with all these attractive lifetime adventures nextdoor, most expats immerse themselves into sampling every aspect of Kenya's safari goodies.
To me, the Manis are just optimizing their limited expat life in Kenya for memorable lifetime experiences that most folks only see in documentaries.
I would do the same if I were posted in an exotic work location like Kenya!
