Classic Masala Hut sure.. basically I'm a pure vegetarian. your recipe videos inspired me to give a try and results were amazing to my surprise. Even I tried prawn pepper fry and chicken gravy as well 😋😋
+Lakshmi Devi wow so nice to see your comments. I am glad that you liked my recipes. I will upload more recipes soon, please share your feedback after trying the recipes. Happy cooking and Thanks again for your wonderful feedback.
I prefer to use biryani masala for its extra flavor. You cannot follow the same recipe for fish though because fish meat is much more tender and will breakup during the cooking process. You can shallow fry the fish until half cooked and collect it separately Now proceed with the biryani masala and onions etc. Then add rice and cook it until about 70% done. Now add the fried fish pieces and cook it along with the rice. It will be in a Hyderabadi Style Biryani. I will upload a detailed video soon !!
+santhosh kumar elangovan Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I am really happy that you liked the recipe. Please keep trying more recipes from our channel and spread the joy of cooking!!
Hi, can you please upload biriyani masala powder recipe in a bit bigger quantities, i hv made the sambar powder accordingly you showed and its very good, so please upload biriyani masala like that too. Thanks
I must be honest with you I've been watching alot of Briyani videos, it looks to complicated. I love your simple innovative idea of cooking in a Pressure Cooker. Which I have, would save me a hell alot of work doing dishes or cooking in two different pots to make Briyani. You made my favorite dish in the world look so simple for a beginner to cook, with a short and nice video. Love it can't wait to try!
It was simply awesome!!. I didn't have star anise or bay leaves so I couldn't make the masala myself. So I added bombay biryani mix which nonetheless has close to similar ingredients you used. Thanks to your simple instructions my 1'st biryani was a success! Kudos
+Kev David wow that's so nice, we can replace the ground masala with biryani mix. Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. I am glad that you liked the recipe. Spread the Joy of Cooking !!!
Thanks for the video. The steps were really simple. But what if you don't have a pressure cooker? How long would you cook the chicken after you added the rice?
Very good recipe, tried it today and turned out very nice, just that my rice got overcooked but that's perhaps i soaked it for more than 1 hour. Love the short and precise presentation!! Will definitely make again!! Thank you for sharing!!
+Annie S Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. I am happy that you liked my cooking style. Just one correction, the soaking time definitely speeds up cooking but I don't think that would be the only reason for the overcooked rice. I had mentioned 1 whistle on medium heat for cooking the rice. Are you using a pressure cooker which whistles or are you timing it.?
Classic Masala Hut my pressure cooker is a bit different, it doesn't have whistle so my rice is usually overcooked :-( i guess i need to cook more and practice more!! Btw, my brother in law who was visiting us liked the biryani so much that he thought we got it from a restaurant!! So thank you again for such a delicious recipe!!
+Annie S You can time it for regular rice and subtract about 5 mins from the cooking time because the contents of the cooker will already be hot when we add the rice. All the best for your experimentation. Please do try more recipes from our channel and spread the joy of cooking!!
+Lorraine Spooncer Hi we can make this biryani in an ordinary pot . First Cook the chicken until its 50% done and then add water + rice and cook until all the water is been absorbed by the rice. Keep the flame on low - medium otherwise the bottom may get burt. I have a separate recipe for making biryani without cooker - Chicken Dum biryani in my blog www.steffisrecipes.com/2016/10/chicken-dum-biryani-recipe.html
Sister please give sameway easy fish biriyani without curd for beginners (bachelor) please please .....our humble request on behalf our abroad working bachelor brothers thanks expecting your video
+Diya Siby Most of the spice in the chillies is in the seeds so removing the seeds will reduce the spice level. If the dish is already prepared serving it with raita will compensate the spiciness.
+Anum Mehboob I think yogurt is essential for softening the meat and adds some sourness. If you are allergic to milk you can skip it and use lemon juice but the taste will be compromised.
Hi mam, if I am using ready-made briyani masala how much is to be used for 2 cups of rice?( please specify in spoon measure). Thank you for recipe. Regards Rehana :)
