The Huntsman mini looks like one of the easiest to mod out of the box. It's a night difference. I would have never considered them until you made this video.
I have one and it's pretty awesome! Used butyl rubber to dampen the board. Lubed the stabilizers and it's been awesome! I didn't bother with the switches since the sound difference wasn't substantial. I got it primarily for a quieter travel gaming keyboard.
It's actually really cool to see Razer catering to a niche, you can see they're really in touch with many communities and understand what people like. (prelubing, included foam etc.)
I love your upgrading videos. I learned a lot from them. One day when I get some extra $ i'll pimp out my own keyboard beyond just changing the keycaps.
By watching S&C and Squashy I went from a Logitech G213 to a G PRO X TKL (which I changed the keycaps and switches later on) and now a fully-custom GMMK Pro
Nice upgrades. Did you prefer it without the lights? I still think Logitech Romer-G key caps are best design with LED and character placement. I like how they keep the lighting in the cap and not onto the board.

Kinda cringey but the idea is there. Razer (or any big brand name) keyboards are usually trashed in the keyboard community but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad, you can just lube and mod it. Though for the price, many people can find much cheaper alternatives to tinker with.
This. Gaming keyboards are just so expensive for what they offer ( imo the gimmicks these keebs have don't justify the price) Nonetheless people will buy these stuff because of the brand and the gamer vibes and we shouldn't really trash them for that. At the end of the day it is all about preference and it is their money after all. 😅

The huntsman mini is built like a beast I spilled choccy milk on my setup (quite a lot as well) and my laptop g502 airpods pro all broke but my huntsman was the only thing that survived

I’ve been thinking on modding my razer huntsman elite cause it’s too freaking loud. Also thought of changing to a new keyboard completely but i actually love the actuation cause i am a hardcore gamer. This gave me some ideas 🙂
I would love a video talking about some of the best hot-swappable switches in certain price brackets with feature breakdown. Maybe another series on the type of hot-swappable boards, the different sockets, and how you go about finding the best matching switches for certain socket types.
Razer keyboards r cool but they dont sound as great as other like the rk61 or TM680(the more cheaper options), but still, if u r a gamer then Razer is ok
I have that exact keyboard except it is the purple clicky switch ones and it is so loud that I had to put cotton in the casing to quite it and now it sounds THOCCY

cmon man, stop complaining, i use a fucking laptop, with a broken screen, no graphics card, intel i3 2° generation, that can't even handle minecraft 1.3, and im not complaining about it, this thing barely handles any game

You should tape mod! Cheapest real mod you can do. Pretty beginner-friendly with alot of good soundimpact!

All switches can fit into hotswap sockets, just some of them have more pins than they should but you can easily clip them off and fix your issue.
