Looks great Matt, I was using a Dremel 4300 with a flexshaft the other day running at 25,000 rpm and the tool rapped around the work and got under the work for just a second. Apparently that's all it take to bust the core in the flexshaft😪. So I tried finishing up the piece with a piece of crap rotary tool with a flexshaft that I Frankensteined on there and that flexshaft quit working as well😮💨. So I went to the store and got a second 4300/ flexshaft setup and now you're setup looks exactly like mine. 😉 Too bad I can't send you pictures. Oh and I have a foot control going to a switch to choose which tool you want to use.
I actually made my foot switch. A push-button on-off switch set up between 2- ¼" sheets of plywood, a wire to plug 🔌 a wire with the female plug( the opposite one) it works great. I prefer it to turning equipment on and off constantly.
I had ordered 5 flexshaft cores directly from Dremel and they arrived today. You will never guess who owns Dremel. The Robert Bosch tool company who also manufactures auto parts.(Volkswagen, Audi)
Yeah, bosch has its fingers in a lot of things. Have seen their logo on brush kits for the dremels. I think they make the grinders for arbortech as well.
I have my dremel suspended on a rope that goes through a pully and then hooks at different heights depending on what angle I want to be working at. I've not been bothered by the dremel swinging but my rope is weighted (so it doesn’t run away when I put my dremel away), maybe that helps. Thanks for the review. I don't think the workstation is for me but the idea of having two dremels really appeals. I might ask for another for Christmas.
Great vid I checked the price here $98.50 in NZ well worth it so got it - probably has the worst assembly diagram but real makers don't read the instructions anyway fits my 8220 nicely
Excellent review Matt. Not something I could justify buying. ❤❤
I would say buying burrs is more of a priority. 👍
I Didn't buy one Either ! Like l stated on the DREMEL u.k website ) there's a much simpler idea if you want that to be in the fixed position !
Love your sponsor!
Great review Matt. Thanks.
I have also used mine for pre-drilling for scrollsaw work.
Awesome, cheers for watching 👍
I think this could also be useful for cutting miter joints in small workpieces.
Good call! Haven't tried that but I see were you are coming from 👍

You sound like you got it sorted, foot pedal sounds cool. Yeah sometimes flexshafts snap pretty easily.

Cool. Sounds like you got a working solution. Cheers for watching and commenting 👌
nice video!
Great info Matt, does the drill press come with the workstation or additional purchase? And do you remember how much the workstation cost?
It's all one unit. I think I paid $85 new Zealand dollars that's just over 50 usd.
Great info. Thank you Matt
Cheers Linda
What a cool little gizmo, do I need it... No, do I want one.... definitely lol.
Haha. It's definitely not a must-have tool.

Cheers Mike. Yeah dremel instructions aren't the best 🙄. I reckon it's a good addition for dremel carvers. Have a good labour weekend 👍
