    Fairytales really do exist!
We started our North Coast 500 road trip by driving up the east coast of Scotland.🚗 While only planning one day here, we could easily have stayed another.
It was such a varied drive, which started with spotting wild seals and ended with breathtaking views of the North Sea from the Whaligoe Steps!🌊 The highlight was a visit to Dunrobin Castle: straight out of a fairytale.🧚🏰
We hope that you enjoyed this video!

How appropriate that the Duke of Sutherland's retirement home was called Dunrobin...

Its my clan castle! I hope to inherit it one day, and realize my dream of being a total lord. Giant rhubarb pie for everybody. The gardens are my prefered part, but always found it odd that the back of the castle looks nothing like the front.. a bit too pretty and french renaissance show-off-ish 🙂. I'll shove a nandos next to it..

To be honest I wouldn't really brag about being associated with this place.....

Well done you went to Dornoch and didn't mention Madonna! :-) The "best hot chocolate" means the best in Dornoch I suspect... But you missed one of the best views in Scotland by not including the Struie hill!

Lovely, well-filmed video of a wild and beautiful part of Scotland though personally I would never visit Dunrobin Castle because of the association with the 1st Duke of Sutherland. His actions during The Highland Clearances were examples of the many abominable acts of capitalist cruelty perpetrated on the Hignland people. The statue of The Mannie on Beinn a'Bhragaidh looking down over the castle has been the subject of several attempts to bring it down. Others are of the opinion it should remain as a reminder of the cruelty of the Duke and those killing times.

I wonder what you guys would think and say about Scotland 's most influential city - Glasgow ,if you were to stay here permanently ? The gross neglect and dereliction of our infrastructure and environment ? Glasgow is a Gaelic word meaning 'dear green place .' Looking at Glasgow today in the alleged modern society mode is an embarrassment of the worst kind because of filth ,dirt ,grime neglect , budget decisions and other disgraceful factors too many to mention . Oh , and our every inner city housing schemes overrun with vermin . Are you listening and watching Glasgow city council and MSP's in Edinburgh ? Its high time you all started to regard Glasgow as a first city in a first world country rather than a filthy diease -causing midden .

Keep your misery to yourself "John". This young couple are here to experience a pleasant journey, not wallow in your tortured self-loathing.
