  • In today's video we showcase and tour a 1973 Dodge Travco motor home that has been retro fitted with a Cummins 12 Valve diesel engine. We talk about the basics of the RV motor home and how it was built. It also happens to possibly be for sale if you are interested.

I've got a 320 that's been in my family since new- the 6BT w/an Allison OD would be fantastic, I have 4.56 gears. Another neat addition is that I have a set of 7 Alcoa's on the 5-lug/8" spread Budd Wheel pattern. Very cool rigs

Awesome looking Travco motorhome! I've always liked the idea of a turbo diesel engine powering a vehicle like this.

The diesel doubled the original fuel mileage!

@@rvphilosophy7132 All the more reason to install a diesel engine in a class A motorhome. It gets better fuel economy than the same vehicle with a gas powered engine. 🙂

I've got a 66 travco 270 with a 318 small block. It's a total piece of junk but I'm trying to restore it. I need to completely rewire it before I'd feel safe driving it. None of the lights work properly.
