Hello everyone! I finally got the Speedrun deed! I know there's a new biome coming, and I'm very excited for the new Forsaken Town event. However, I won't be home in December, so the next video will be out in January. I'm really sorry, but I have some work and family obligations!
Grats on your year 3 win. You make this look so easy and so straight forward. My confidence goes up after watching you play, then I get thoroughly wrecked and my confidence dissipates like a fart in the wind. Until I watch you play again. Then it goes up, then it gets wrecked. Again. Wash, rinse, repeat lol
I’ve finished all of your videos and loved every single one. I hope there are plans to continue your against the storm content. You are such a talented player and paired with your editing style and lovely accent, these are my favourite storm videos on TH-cam.
Congratulations! I was a pleasure to hear the joy and excitement in your voice at the end of this one. Huge kudos! This is the absolute best AtS content available! Thank You so much for sharing! Your thought process is invaluable
Great series - incredibly informative and excellent explanations. Thank you for putting in all the hard work to make them. Have a super Christmas and I am look forward to new videos next year.
Great vid! The cuts are really well done to where you cut out dead time but dont skip ahead too far, each decision being discussed. Would love to see a P20 adamantine seal run! I know that'd take a long time to edit all the videos though haha. Happy holidays!
Great game! Sorry I am late, I was busy playing the new update 😅 But following some of your tips I finally started winning on P20 reliably. And it only took me around 220h of play.
Thank you for the content you make. I really like you explaining your thought process behind decisions. Congratulations on that well deserved Speedrun deed even though you didn‘t aim for it from the start. Looking forward to the next Video. Subscribed!
I just finished reforging silver seal, didnt know piping is quite powerful bcoz i dont want to handle with blightrot. Will try learning how to use piping in my next run. Congrats for the speedrun 👍
Blightrot isn't so bad as long as you have a sustainable source of coal, sea marrow, or oil. Just put one villager in the blight post to produce purging fire at all times until you have what you need for the next storm. Don't forget to put three villagers in the blight post before the storm, at the end of clearance. Also, no more than 15 cysts per blight post. If you exceed that number, I advise you to build another blight post.
Very impressive. I've never seen a triple yield before, so if your chance at a double yield exceeds 100% you get a chance at a triple yield? Also I never realised that, once you're in the blue, higher resolve leads to more points per minute. I always thought the only thing that mattered was to get it to blue and that it scaled on the basis of population. But now I realise it scales on both population and resolve points. Very educational, thank you
Yes, the reputation gained per minute also scales on resolve points indeed! I have made a tutorial about resolve and decadence where this information is explained: th-cam.com/video/Ug9VBDIcV_c/w-d-xo.html You're right about the yields!
Congrats on the year 3 finish! I've been playing in P15 for now and learned a lot from your video. Thanks! I'm surprised how you prioritized rainpunk over specialized housing. Do you usually do it this way or did you do it because of the alarm bells?
Thanks! I always build a lot of rainpunk engines. I put them in almost every production building because I want my production to be as optimized as possible. I rarely use them to increase the resolve of my species, though. Usually, I only use them this way for a little resolve push to get into the 'blue zone.' But here, it was special because I had to be very fast to secure a Year 3 win. I didn't have the time or the building materials to construct specialized houses.
Are you talking about embarkation points? You gain embarkation points through Citadel upgrades. 10 is the number you have at the start of a cycle when the tree is fully completed. Then, the farther you are from the Citadel, the fewer points you have.
Non !
I love this, but you could put a LITTLE bit of the downtime into the video. That, or some kind of visual marker to note a transition. Sometimes when you cut to the next event it can be hard to tell what has happened. But if you gave the last few seconds of the event showing or something, it would be easier to follow. That said, I do really like these videos. I just found them a couple days ago.
These are the bonus embarkation points you earn when you choose the 'Supply Package' at the end of a run with a negative modifier. I usually save them for when I really need them, often for the Seal Forest at the end of a cycle.
Thanks! The problem with uncut playthrough is that I play very slowly, so the video would be very long and full of boring parts where nothing happens (because I'm thinking).
Lol pretty insane that you got the hidden Speedrun deed without even planning for it. Didn't even use any bonus embarkation points. Some notes/questions based on the video: 1. Do you never allow bait in fishing huts? I thought it was bad, but someone on the subreddit did some maths and its actually very efficient. Especially since you had +2 on the packs of crops and +1 on scales. Though I guess it would be overkill to have 400 scales and 200 fish. 2. Do you ever choose higher cost expedition for better loot? I think the costs are changed now in 1.5 update, so maybe this question is irrelevent in the new patch. 3. I'm surprised you dislike tools so much that you sell them all. This game you had so many orders that gave you 10+ tools. Could have opened the forbidden glade in Y3 clearance and sent 2 caches for approx. +1.5 reputation. Though this is obviously hindsight and you managed a P20 Y3 just fine without tools. Everytime I watch one of your videos it gives me something to add to my game. Perhaps I overvalue tools and should just focus on resolve. Merci beaucoup! See you next year :D
Hello! Thank you! 1. I considered producing packs of crops to use fishing bait at some point, but I felt the investment wasn't necessary. I had three ponds and +1 Scales. I told myself these resources would be enough to finish the game. Maybe I should try to use some bait though. 2. I have only played two Coastal Grove games so far, and for now, I haven’t increased the cost of an expedition, simply because it increases the time it takes to complete. 3. Actually, I think I should have used tools for the ale/wheat cache instead of opening it. Those 30 wheat didn’t make any difference. But opening a dangerous or forbidden glade specifically to send caches to the citadel isn’t something I enjoy that much-it just feels... messy. Yeah, I know, it’s a silly reason, haha.
@@NarcoATS Haha, there are no silly reasons in a singleplayer game! Just play however you enjoy it. I feel the same about attacking traders for example. It feels terrible, even though it makes sense to do in your last year.
@@natriumon8487 Haha same! I have to confess 3 things: I have never attacked a trader. I have never used forsaken altar. I have never opened a forbidden glade... Also, I don't like calling traders just to increase impatience. I finished this game with zero impatience.
@@NarcoATS Wait, never a forbidden glade? That's actually crazy haha. It's my favorite way to solve the final part of the seal map. I hope you will upload a video one day of the world map modifier that makes every glade a forbidden glade. You will hate it xD
@@natriumon8487 I’ve never needed to open one! And they’re forbidden! I always finish the Sealed Forest either with the resolve challenge or by burning a lot of cysts.

insane run! one tip you can increase ressources for expeditions in the top to have higher chances for better rewards
It takes longer so you don't want to do that for building. Building aren't affected by the reward increase I believe
