I mean truth is outside this part there is terrible poverty and bad urban planning. Manila has great things in its own right, but you can't deny it has issues that has to be fixed and that Manila still lacks behind other cities. BGC is a positive and hopefully stays that way. It is a good area that makes Manila have some presentable things and could be a hopeful sign of the modern vision of Manila. They have lots to fix though.

let me describe the place as military camp before it became the BGC now....we used to biked ...jogged and walked leisurely around that area with the soldiers having their daily jogged and trainings.... malawak ang natatanaw ng mata because there were no obstructions ...the land was raw with thousands of age old trees...there's a small community the structures were that of the 50's and 60's there's also the Fort Bonifacio hospital the structure was old too.....there's also Ft. Bonifacio golf course.....I enjoyed going to that place para siyang travel in time...then now the BGC...gone are the thousands of age old trees...before 3 buildings lang ang nakatayo diyan now every corner are all buildings and establishments ...the place become so crowded with people of different nationalities as in para kang nasa ibang bansa ...I can see lots of caucasians...Koreans...Chinese...Indians lahat ng lahi lives there in that place...one of the reason naging super traffic ang Edsa...I see St. Lukes sometimes I attend mass in their chapel...derecho kasi sa Kalayaan where my house is...us here who lives near the area...can only recall what the place used to be..... hectares of land with thousands of age old trees...it was nature at it's finest then ....now it's an urban jungle .....there's this sadness in me whenever I step in that place I can't help but recall how the place looked before ...all nature....thank you Alfred....

Besides BGC, Makati, and some posh villages and subdivisions, most of Metropolitan Manila is covered with hanging wires, illegal connections, broken sidewalks, untiled pavements, clogged drains, unpaved streets, poor signage, grafitti, advertisements, etc. Ugly talaga. Good planning, a spirited enforcement, constant monitoring, and coordination with local authorities should solve these problems. But if our leaders do not rally the public with a strong vision and concrete action, then everything will just fall apart.
