- All aboard! It's Embarkation Day! Join us for our first ever Disney Cruise aboard the Disney Wish.
We travel from Pop Century to Port Canaveral on the Disney Transportation Cruise Line bus service for our 4 night Halloween on the High Seas Caribbean cruise. We explore the ship including the gym, Senses Spa and Rainforest Room and have lunch at Marceline Market. Emotions run high at the Sail Away Party as we adjust to life onboard, and we end the day with a fun, delicious and interactive dining experience at the Worlds of Marvel restaurant.

We start our last morning at Walt Disney World's Pop Century Resort with breakfast at the Everything Pop food court before checking out.
While we wait for the Disney Cruise Line bus, Tracey does some last minute shopping and buys the Pop Century 20 year anniversary limited edition pin.
The ground transportation transfer on the Disney Transportation Cruise Line Bus to Port Canaveral goes smoothly and before we know it we are aboard the Disney Wish. We decide to head to the Marceline Market for some lunch before making our way to our stateroom.
We start to explore the ship and take a tour of the gym, Senses Spa and Rainforest Room before heading to the Sail Away Party. There's a lot to take in and emotions run high as we navigate our way around and attend the muster drill.
After the Seas the Adventure show, Keith explores the upper decks and then we all head to the Worlds of Marvel restaurant where we enjoy a great meal and some fun, interactive entertainment and meet our servers, Netra and Michael..... and Spiderman!
Back in the stateroom our stateroom host, Yoga, has done a splendid job of the turndown service and we are greeted with a towel penguin and chocolates.

I have loved Keith banging on about Pop Century for the last few vlogs. We are staying on property for the first time at Pop with our 6 and 8 year old in August and you’ve just confirmed we’ve picked the right resort! ❤

I empathized with your family on both the highs and lows of this new experience, but I do hope you ended up loving this new 'Disney product' as Keith said! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and your family with us through your Vlogs. I have to say that I am in the US, but most of the Disney Vlogs that I prefer are people from the UK!! I follow CheersEars, Adam Hatton, Disney in Detail, and a couple of others! You all are simply delightful to watch together. The genuine excitement when you show us the areas and the family dynamic are just brilliant. And POP Century is definitely one of our favorite places to stay!! However, we have 2 teenage daughters so trying to share 1 room with a 1 sink bathroom is difficult...and we just can't afford the 2 rooms.
Aww thanks so much thats really appreciated. I totally understand. It is pretty expensive to have the 2 rooms but both Luke and Daisy are in full time employment so they do help out a little
Your take on embarkation day was interesting. I've had the opposite reaction to it. It is a lot but, in a good way. I found that it firmly separated me from normal life and normal responsibilities. As a result, I found it relaxing.

Love to see how it turns from not knowing what to think about cruising to liking it. And yes it’s still Disney, so you’re still in that bubble. I’m looking forward to see how it all goes.
We love cruise with Disney. But we did it just the other way. Started with a 14 night trans Atlantic in 2011 and did Disneyworld after that cruise for the first time. That was also a wonderful experience. We were annual pass holders from Disneyland Paris, so not new to Disney, but cruise an WDW were so much better. And we also love Pop century.

I think I would feel exactly the same as you about cruising, Keith. I would be worried about finding places to escape for some peace and quiet. 😏 But I'm glad you tried it and I'm sure it's going to be a great memory with your family!
The other 4 Disney ships offer a lot more relaxation imo. Adult only areas that are far superior to the Wish.The Wish is stunning but it’s overwhelming.Much prefer the older Disney ships.

Hiya 🤗 I was waiting for this vlog - I honestly think Keith will love love love the cruise. I don’t have sea legs at all so a Disney cruise (or any cruise) is out of the question for me but it looks amazing. I can see, and have seen from other vlogs how it can be a little overwhelming when busy but for the most part it is outweighed by everything else. I love hearing the Disney horn on embarkation day ☺️ I’m looking forward to seeing how the rest of the cruise goes. Have a magical Christmas ♥️ xxx

Totally relate to first day cruise crazy…just experienced that on the Fantasy……it takes a couple days to find a rhythm. Definitely a different vibe from familiar park rhythms.

I loved the Disney wish. We headed straight to Arendelle as soon as we boarded. A lot of people don’t realise they can go to the other restaurants for lunch. We didn’t get the overwhelming feeling, just took our time to explore. We were on the cruise October 22. So it’s lovely to see your vlog. Bringing back previous memories. Loved castaway. We did the 5k run there. 🥰

We've only done 2 Disney cruises (the 2nd being recent), and we loved the first, but definitely enjoyed it more the 2nd time as you know what to expect. Loved the Wish, beautiful ship.

28:23 As a seasoned cruiser I know what you mean. Embarkation day is always stressful at times and I always have a moment of "Why am I doing this", but as soon as day 1 is over everything is great.

In one of the Disney water parks my wedding ring fell off. The lifeguard said don’t worry ma’am go to customer service in an hour. Apparently someone had “ dove” for it . 😊

Great embarkation day!Catching up on the vlogs as just got off a cruise ourselves! First cruise can definitely feel overwhelming at first and in my opinion the Wish is the most overwhelming, overstimulating Disney ship right now.Beautiful but we found it over the top in many ways, most of the dinners were really loud too.While some entertainment with dinner is nice,we could not even speak at the table.I believe your experience would be much more relaxed if you went on one of the other ships.Wonder or Fantasy. Loved the Wish but much prefer the classic Disney cruise experience on the older ships.
I have heard this before. Ild definitely up for doing another one so maybe a smaller ship might be on the cards
@@CheersEars Magic & Wonder are smaller but honestly the Dream & Fantasy while similar in size to the Wish are very similar to the first two.Any of the first 4 ships have that classic, more nautical cruise feel to them. Also,we found rooms on the Wish have way less storage in comparison. I’m not sure if you already know as well but you can choose a family size verandah (or oceanview) with a pull down Murphy bed in addition to the sleeper sofa. Getting 2 rooms with older kids is great too but the Disney cruises are not cheap aren’t they :)

Pop is a value resort but its price is creeping up to moderate prices, well prices when we started going in 2009.Ive just booked again for 2024 the Skyliner is a big advantage at this resort
Totally agree but it's such a great resort and the skyliner is a big bonus too

When we went to Florida Disney in Magic Kingdom in 2016, my daughter who was 10 left her purse in a shop with all her pocket money in it. It never got handed in so doesn't always happen unfortunately! 😔
