Hi, I just got into Brown and let me tell you, I did all of the things that he said to do in my writing (without knowing that I was supposed to do them) but I did not have the best video portfolio. This video has great information but remember that it’s also really important to be yourself because the reality is that you won’t have a good experience somewhere where you maybe don’t belong (personality wise that is). Good luck to everyone undergoing college apps season!!!
I decided to come back to this video to say thank you so much for making it. It was a huge help during the college process, and I’m excited to share that I got into Brown!
the work and information that goes behind making these videos are just very respectable, truly the goat, this is valuable stuff as a current rising senior in the middle of hectic college app szn😭🔥
Hey there Kev, keep up the amazing content. As a fellow FGLI student that just committed to Yale, your videos kept me motivated throughout this entire process! ❤
thanks so much for this video! i'm a rising senior, and i plan to apply to brown just for the hell of it (bc why not), but i enjoy how clearly you explained each concept :) on another note, if someone could review my stats below lmk if i even have a chance to get in here 😭: - gpa: unweighted = 3.77, weighted = 4.2 - ap classes: ap lang. junior year (a+ and a 4 on the ap exam), ap psych. this upcoming year - grades: straight a's junior year, one b+ sophomore year, one b+ freshman year - honors classes: all subjects possible except for math (but doing calc. senior year) - activities: show choir (2 groups, one for 4 years, one for 3 years, spirit leader junior year for 4 year group, vp for this upcoming year for 4 year group, received spirit award sophomore year), music honor society (was treasurer junior year), orchestra assistant (sophomore year), multiple plays + musicals, formerly played violin (3rd - freshman year) - summer: camp counselor for many years, babysitting (recent) - awards: spirit award (show choir, mentioned earlier), excellence in theatre (sophomore year), excellence in psychology (junior year)
I'm also applying to Brown this year and we have similar stats/amount of activities! I think SAT/ACT scores are pretty important too (especially SAT is required), but from what I've heard, it's most important that you show your passions/interests and how you will use them to create a better world (so like the example of Kristina in the video) Not the best person to help ofc, but wishing you luck with applying!

This is very helpful! I thoroughly enjoyed this video as well as the information provided. I'm planning on transferring from a community to Brown. Do you have any tips or things I should be sure to do while in community college that would benefit my application process?
@@elevatedschool thank you! May you make a video about the best universities for international students? Universities that have the highest rate of international students and need aware/ need blind financial aid.
A Highly informative and helpful video, Thank You! I was wondering if you could help me find my narrative based on my interests and things I'm involved in currently in high school to highlight to Brown?
Hello, I have quite a few interests from the preexisting concentrations with my main focus being poli sci and econ (ik boring ones) along with other more unique ones. Do you think I should abandon a couple and focus on only the unique ones or one from each group?
I don't quite understand the open curriculum. Can we learn it side by side of our current major or our major will be the mix up we selected. for example I want to major in CS but I love reading phycology, so can I learn phycology side by side while majoring in cs or I get to study a completely different major.
