The engine thrummed a monotonous lullaby against the endless desert wind. My headlight carved a pale path through the inky blackness, the only companion on this desolate stretch of highway. Sleep gnawed at the edges of my consciousness, a relentless pursuer in the face of the looming deadline.
Suddenly, a flicker of white in the rearview mirror jolted me awake. It was a figure, running alongside the bike, shrouded in a tattered white dress. In the fleeting glimpse, my heart hammered against my ribs. Her form seemed impossibly stretched, her legs churning in a nightmarish gait to keep pace with the speeding motorcycle.
But it was her face that stole my breath. Long strands of matted hair obscured most of it, but a gaping maw hung open, revealing a darkness that seemed to suck the light itself. A tongue, impossibly long and slick with a crimson sheen, darted out, tasting the air. Panic, cold and primal, clawed at my throat.
I twisted the throttle, the engine screaming in protest as I pushed the bike to its limits. The figure, defying all logic, matched my speed. Every fiber of my being screamed to look away, but a morbid curiosity kept my eyes glued to the monstrosity in the mirror. It wasn't chasing me; it was hunting.
Time stretched into an eternity. Each passing mile felt like an agonizing century. My arms ached, my vision blurred, but the relentless pursuit continued. Then, on the horizon, a silhouette emerged - a lone gas station, a beacon of hope in this desolate wasteland.
With a surge of adrenaline, I veered off the highway, the tires spitting gravel as I tore towards the pumps. I slammed on the brakes, the bike skidding to a stop mere inches from the flickering neon sign. I dismounted, legs shaky, lungs burning. But the figure was gone.
Relief washed over me, cold and clammy. I stumbled towards the station, the only sign of life a single flickering light illuminating a dusty convenience store window. Desperate for a moment's respite, I pushed open the creaking door.
The air inside was thick with the smell of stale coffee and motor oil. A solitary figure sat behind the counter, a wizened old man with eyes that held the wisdom of a thousand desert sunsets. In a voice hoarse from fear, I recounted the encounter.
The man listened patiently, a deep frown etching lines on his weathered face. When I finished, he spoke, his voice a low rumble.
"The White Stalker," he rasped, "they say it roams these roads, hungry for the lost and weary. It can't enter places of light or commerce, but beware, traveler. It remembers. And it waits."
A cold dread coiled in my stomach. The figure might be gone for now, but the memory of its hungry gaze, that impossibly long tongue, would forever be etched in my mind. This wasn't just a warning for me, but for anyone foolish enough to brave the desolate highways at night. There are things out there that lurk in the darkness, waiting for the unwary. Heed this tale, travelers. The desert holds secrets, and some are best left undisturbed.

My 4 year old sings this nonstop because of TikTok. There’s nothing more hilariously creepy than waking up because you hear your kid creepily singing “I can sense your horror though I’d like to see it closer” directly in your ear only for him to giggle like a maniac when he realizes my eyes are open and sings “now you’re it”😂

This is the first time I’ve heard the actual version. It’s pretty awesome. I love it. I strongly recommend for you to look up Lauren Paley. She is absolutely amazing! She sings in a stairwell, with no music and she sings the songs a little slower than the original. She also sings Hide ‘n’ Seek, but in a creepy, cool way. She’s always trying to scare her neighbors by singing in stairwells. I think you would like her.

I finally came up with a story when I listened over and over again “there was once a little girl and a mother they had a goo day until a month later there was a hunter who broke inside the house the mom didn’t want her daughter to die so she told her daughter to run away she ran away as fast as she could until. She couldn’t see her house she cried and said what am I gonna do? She remembered she had a few dollars from her mom see got a phone and had 1 dollar left she looked online on her phone and she saw a house for 1 dollar she brought it she started looking around then she heard banging noises voices and laughs she ran out of the house and called the police they showed up and went inside to investigate then she heard a scream a few minutes later then the window opened and a head with no body or eyes fell out of the window she walked to the head in the grass and it was a police officers head she looked inside the house from the window that the head fell out of she didn’t see anything so she slowly crept inside then she saw the worst thing ever there was a knife on the floor the police officers dead with blood 🩸 their head off their body and a girl eating the same exact body as her moms she picked up the knife and threw it at the girl but that was nothing the knife missed she ran out and selled the house she said to the people on instagram twitter snapchat and tiktok to never buy it she took a few pictures of it and posted it but she used the 1 pound for a lottery ticket she scratched the card and she won 5M pound she went to buy a mansion for 1M pounds and then the guy looked at her he started backing up until there was no space he said drop the money on the floor and go inside she dropped the money and went inside he got the the money and ran away she was wondering why he was acting like that she went to look in the miror her face was bloody her clothes was ripped and her feet was dirty she ran to the other house that had the girl she looked behind the house and saw her body she realised when she threw the knife it was thrown at a witch and she made her swap bodies and that was a witch that was known for her mothers dead Story-the haunted house
