The best part about this ending is hearing “We’ll meet again, some sunny day” and then seeing Richthofen, as if Treyarch is telling us, “We’ll see you in 2024, we’ve got big plans”.

Still clearly a sociopath. His job or not, different universe or not, he is still Edward Richtofen. And tossing maxis into the dark aether and locking up the people he “used” (sound familiar?) Indefinitely is VERY Richtofen of Richtofen in Cold War

Richtofen’s mental issues solely came from his contact with the MPD. This Richtofen is Eddie’s pure soul grown up, so none of the mental disorders should exist within him. Eddie does not equal the Richtofen we know

At the end when peck said he was looking for some old friends…I feel like we were all put into the dark aether and dropped in the middle of nowhere.

So Richtofen is back and Maxis wasn’t killed off. I consider this a dub my friends. Although shame about Richtofen sending everybody to prison, love weaver and Raptor 1. Indifferent about the others
Overall it’s a dub but they left it on a sour note with Maxis being in the dark aether and everyone else imprisoned

I believe that Richtofen will end up meeting with Nikolai, Takeo and Dempsey but they'll also be in a scene ending where each character will appear at the end of the scene and it will all appear as Peck will meet up with the group of 935 and begin his new plan to begin again

If your all wondering why strike team got "arrested" if you looked on the screen of the computer at the start of the scene there is a protocol where the people participating in the cease of aether is to put them in indefinite confinement which basically means your keeping them from public.
It's like jail but for a political reason than a law reason

I love the fact the the MP’s at 2:19 are wearing SSH60’s, a Soviet helmet.
It was such a plot twist on Richtofens actions, but they literally just took everything people were saying that was bad about zombies like no character development, and just slapped us in the face with this amazing cutscene like "Shut the fuck up and eat your cereal" lmao. I love it, this is how you end a fucking dlc season AND entice us for the next chapter
The issue here is everything was made incredibly obvious since Mauer. Everyone even remotely up to date on the intel knew Zykov was the Forsaken, Eddie was the director, etc. It’s kinda a shame

Nah really doesn't do character development at all, felt more like a cash grab set up to get hardcore fanboys to buy the next game just for the now dull story

Calling it now, Eddie plans to do something evil with the power of the Dark Aether. He trapped Carver, Grey, Strauss, Raptor 1 & the team inside "SOPHIA" with the Dark Aether and dropped it in the Marianas Trench. Thats where Peck pointed on the map & his "old friends" are the team stuck inside "SOPHIA" at the bottom of the ocean. He going to rescue them because he knows that Eddie has a plan (project janus). I dont think we'll see the continuation until Treyarchs next game in 2023.

I’m calling it right now. The 2023 treyarch game is going to have a crew with the continuation of this story. And that crew is going to be the four arrested Strauss, Weaver, Carver and Grey. Peck is going to look for them and rescue them which will then have us players control them as crew. This is treyarch’s way of listening to the community perhaps? I have a strong feeling this is it. I mean cmon. It’s FOUR people. A standard zombies crew!! Different personalities! Just like standard crews we’ve seen all along..take a screenshot of this comment and return in 2023 to say thank you! 😂😂😂😂

@@cowgod1945 but having operators just doesn’t feel the same. I really miss the old zombies and the crew they had. It literally gave zombie the personality and the witty dialogues from each character we had! That was really fun. There’s a reason everyone miss that. This operator system is a cool addition from customisation aspect but I prefer a fixed crew system with dialogues. I know it’s all about $$$ with treyarch hence the operator system but they can implement skins for the crew members as bundle or something in the store for players to buy!

Bro imagine the next Zombies map with this continuing is where the operatives are in a prison where Peck sets them free then gives a whole monologue about their Betrayal and adds something about he was betrayed once or something like that and how they’ve managed to test and use Operatsiva Inversiya successfully and how they are all in danger and how they need to work together and how they are “on their own” and the games starts in the prison cells as zombies close in on them
The starting weapons would be a prison knife similar to the one in black ops one during the escape from Vorkuta until they get to the first room which would be the Armory where they would find their starting weapons (AKA the weapons they chose at the start of the game)
The Easter egg could be finding a means of escape (maybe repairing a boat or pulling a mob of the dead and trying to build or repair a plane)
One of the steps could require contacting a requiem member (Weaver, Strauss, Carver, Grey heck even fucking maxis)
Then they would have to travel into the dark Aether to collect some parts from old Cold War maps (Aetherscope, Homing beacon from outbreak, heck maybe even klaus’s remains or he might be alive)
There could be a reference to vanguard or something since the game would be after ww2
The last step would be having to deliver or transport fuel to either the plane or boat but you would have to lift the lockdown of the prison which would unlock all electronic doors but at the same time would awaken an Aether anomaly being held for experimentation (a prisoner that had been effected by The crystals and had turned into a crystalline creature)
It would be like the Legion but smaller and has some humanity left in him/her
They would have a lot of health, a close and ranged attack and some parts when they regain control and allow you to shoot them.
When you defeat them they will stagger back and grab you but instead of killing you the prisoner would regain control one final time and throw you towards the middle of the prison where you would run to the boat or plane and exfil/escape and the cutscene would be the operatives getting to land and meeting up with peck which then he would greet them and start saying something like:
“Gentlemen, I know we’ve had our differences but now we’re fighting something that’s bigger that requiem…bigger than Omega…Bigger than us…we need to work together.”
“We need to stop this…and I know how”
Peck might point to a map or something which has been thoroughly marked and edited with text scribbled on the edges of the map in red marker
“We need to go save an old friend of yours…”
The next map would be rescuing Weaver, Strauss, Carver and grey and maybe maxis
I could make an audio thing of how i think it would go…but only if this gets noticed.
