I always liked how, not only was Higuchi less clever than Light or L, he wasn't even smarter than a lot of the other businessmen in the Yotsuba meetings. Namikawa and the others had his shit figured out long before he even realized what was going on lol. Gotta hand it to Rem, she knows how to pick a patsy.
it goes to show how easy it would have been for L if Light hadn't been Light, I mean even he gave away a lot of information with his first encounter with L, had he not learned to be much more cautious from that experience I wonder if L would have caught him.
To be fair, L managed to push Light's button straight away. A less smart, but more calm character would simply have not responded to the provocation (heck, L was a bit lucky that Light was in Kanto and watching the TV at this time; I mean the odds were with him, but it could have easily failed - and his "delayed broadcast" strategy was pretty useless at a time were internet and cellphones are a thing, he basically had to get it right straight away). That being said, Higuchi is neither smart nor calm, so yeah, he was pretty boned from the start.
Yes, I know, but that doesn't mean Light is watching 24/24 (though I'm sure L picked a time where it was expected more people would be watching) and that doesn't mean Light was in Kanto (the odds were roughly 33%).
Tbh it's unreasonable to be caught if you use a Death Note at all if you don't do stupid shit like killing off rival companies. And even then Higuchi only got caught because he killed them by heart-attacks. If he used accidents since the start he would (probably) not have been caught. It's like... nobody can even imagine how you kill the criminals so how the hell can the police/fbi/L/etc even suspect anyone unless it's for personal profit like with Higuchi? Everyone with access to internet/tv can be a suspect. You need to get lucky to even get a suspect.
Eh, that doesn't really mean much. Plenty of action anime has excellent animation and detail during action. FMA: B immediately comes to mind, as well as AoT, and say what you want about it but even SAO has lots of fluidity in it's fight animation All that pretty/fluid/detailed animation means is the show has a well-funded budget...unlike DB Super where that budget was so bad Goku's eyes were dots :D
Hearing something Good about SAO just made this my worst day. Well if you're talking about details in an action anime, I don't know how you missed HxH and Naruto. Most detailed fight that I've ever seen is KAKASHI VS OBITO and almost all of HxH battles
That is LITERALLY the only good thing about SAO; it looks very pretty. Crisp lines, lovely colors, and good animation. Can't blame the animation staff for a poor story. Haven't watched enough HxH to talk about it, but I would only ever consider the 2011 being good. Saw some of the original hunter exams and yeesh. As for naruto, I only watched the classic as it was released on CN (soi barely remember it), the very 1st Gaara arc of Shippuden (which I have barely any memory of), and up to the mist village stuff in Boruto. Don't really remember much in terms of detail in those fights either, other than things like cinematography in it's shots and the clear, swift hand movements. All I was really saying is I just love attention to detail, and the higher the budget like in Death Note and various shonen, the more miniscule touches there are. Some you barely even notice, and some you won't notice at all.
Even USAs 'left wing' party Democrats are considered centre right by most other developed countries standards. On a global scale USA is very right leaning.
The opening song is about how dumb and ruthless humans are, it's more fitting for the second phase of the anime, while the first opening is about revolution and the born of a new world, also fitting for the first phase, I do prefer the first one because it's more epic, but the craziness of the second is appreciated, and at the end of it says ''Whats up, people!'', Aaron
I dunno why but the scene of L PERFECTLY deducing what happened always gives me goosebumps. Like despite the fact that Light got away KINDA, L still always knew what was going on, he never fooled him once
About recovering the memories of the death note: the reason Misa didn’t get her memories back when she touched a piece of a death note isn’t because she didn’t touch all the pages, it’s because that death note was originally Light’s, not hers. She needs to touch the death note she owned to get her memories back.
They're just standing there and talking, that's all they're doing. That's all they EVER do, is stand there and talk. That's what they were doing last week, that's what they were doing when you asked me five minutes ago. So five minutes from now, when you ask me "What are they doing?" My answers gonna be, "They're still just talking, and they're still just standing there.
20:15 I don't think you pay that much attention, Aaron. Watari always handles L's food. 20:37 Well... yes, that, but also *how* L plays with his food acts as a visual medium for his interal thoughts.
@@sam-psonsmith9951 You can't kill other people or shorten their lives with the note, outside of the person written, thus Watari would just default to a heart attack.
@@IHasIdea never heard of that rule before but i guess it makes sense. but watari know L real name and no rule says you can't force him to share a name he knows.
@@sam-psonsmith9951 Rule 26 "Even though only one name is written in the Death Note, if it influences and causes other humans that are not written in it to die, the victim's cause of death will be a heart attack." It kind of implies that only a heart attack will happen and nothing else. There might have also something in the show that prevented Light from doing that, I don't exactly remember. Well if you could acquire Watari's real name then you'd have no trouble acquiring L's real name as both are probably equally tough to figure out. I guess Watari was slightly more high profile but still.
Talking about mystery series abiding by rules, I do think they work best when the rules are iron-clad and not broken. Death Note did this very well, but a visual novel series named "Umineko no Naku Koro ni" basically takes this to a whole new level. It follows an actual set of rules in real life for the production of acceptable mystery novels called The Knox's Decalogue - and later Van Dine's 20 Commandments.
I think it is great to have the rules. Light has all the rules there to read, so he goes on from there. So i think it is great for you to know the rules and then say "ok, how would i use this in my favor if i were in this situation?" and then see how Light uses it. he never uses them in a mediocre way anyway. Otherwise, anytime something happen you might see it as a deux maquina. In other words, the rules aren't the spoiler, the way Light uses them would be the spoiler
I love how as soon as Misa played the recording, L knew something was wrong. There's no way Kira would just reveal who he was that flat out just because a hot girl asked.
The new Kira knew or could easily get the names of the TV studio hosts producers cameramen ect Theoretically you could use them as pawns to kill someone like Touta Matsuda whose name you don't know. That is if he had actually been at the studio.
