Great vid ! XLent to see 3801 back on the rails doing what it was designed to do. $3.5 Million is a lot but worth it. Hopefully, lessons have been learned so that 3830 can be overhauled cheaper and faster. It's an expensive business. And the other steam locos too that have been waiting their turn can expect the same treatment. We are fortunate to have two 38 class locos and one in original withdrawn condition. Hopefully we can keep these going for a long time.
Great video Rich. I went out on the first run this morning. Funnily enough, I was at Carlton yesterday, platform 1/2 to film the train. I saw a lot of people waiting on platform 1/2 at Carlton this morning, only for the train to come through platforms 3/4... Cheers, Gary.
Thanks Gary. Hope you enjoyed the run out today. Hope you also got some good footage and/or photos yesterday. Feel free to subscribe and check out the rest of my videos here, or follow me on instagram @greatworldwiderailways for more. Cheers. Rich
