Problem is you can't work full time especially if you have kids. And dishwasher is not suitable for Indian cooking . please make a video on Tuition in apartments and rising school costs. Not going to work because look at the tax regime . Men give your wife atleast the tax return. You can put your wife as a joint holder and earn only as much is required .That way you will save tax and have peace of mind .She will supervise the maid well.

Being 10 plus year in IT industry now I am very satisfied with the decision to drop purchasing home in Bangalore and did same in my home city,
After seeing all the issue in Bangalore, i really feel sad for those who permanently settled there with hard earned money 😢
Once I was about to commit same mistake,
However I stay in rent till date in Bangalore and not prefer to keep maid... Managing by myself,
Even a smaller intervention will need money in Bangalore which us not the case in other Cities...
Rat cut down wire of my car , I visited local workshop, there they took 1000 to just put some celo tape on that and intensionally pulled one plug so that I visit next time 😢,after discovering same it was really heart breaking for me , even I gave 100 ruoes tips to that guy ...
This is how grid destroyed Bangalore... And still doing...

Excellent post. Thank you so much ji. Iam in coimbatore.i too faced the same problem. Now iam doing all the work myself, I manage cleaning vessels with dish washer. It's really a boon. It cleans super good. cleaning the floor I do daily and mopping twice or on alternate days. Bathroom cleaning on Sundays.make it a point to ask everyone in the family to contribute to the house cleaning and this way children also learn the household responsibilities. I am merely pointing out observations. It's common to see a maid waiting in the lobby with a child while North Indian families dine inside an expensive restaurant. In Southern states, the difference between the rich and the poor is not as pronounced. Since the northern states are more non-egalitarian, these families thrive on this disparity. The Hinduja family, for example 🙂

You seem to have a poor idea of the vessels needed to be washed, cleaning them up immediately after dinner is at the end of the day. After a day of office work ,with or without commuting,it would be tough to pick up the washing. And what happens to the breakfast vessels, can you wash them before you leave for work? When you have kids, their eating, their snacks dabbas all add up.
Loading and unloading a dishwasher is not an easy ,it’s also time consuming
Vacuuming can be done only on the weekends-- there goes your weekends.

Lower midle class and poor are the ones here in bengaluru who are actually enjoying these facilities.
Most of the times we travel by metro trains.
Literally NO MAID cleans any house properly no matter how much ever you pay them, within 20-30 minutes they finish all there work and leave, and in the meantime we have to be all eyes so that no thing goes missing. We always have to watch over them.

You see all those reports of income equality, that 3% of population having all the wealth. But no one addresses the real reason.
What you said is the real reason. The people who are not making progress, are the ones who dont want to work. For those who are willing to work hard and hustle, there are enough opportunities to advance in life. Even with small scale businesses, I have heard friends running these complain that the guys come, sign on the register and expect to get paid. They dont want to work or they put in minimal effort.
Also with gated communities etc, they are jealous and resentful of what they refer to as outsiders.

Not in case with our maid in the Iblur Area, near the Sarjapur Junction. Our cooking maid and the Sweeping/Mopping maid is doing great for the last 10 years. No issues here nor with anyone in our apt society. We also kept a dishwasher and a vaccum/mopping machine at our homes and its pretty automated to the fullest. We clean the dustbin once a month. Damm I couldn't believe it's 5 years since this machine is working as fine as it is when I bought it. We use the dishwasher once a week to keep it running fine. But once you start using a dishwasher then you need to clean its filter and also remove the water scales once a year for the new ones and as time goesby if the water scaling in your society goes bad then this de-scaling goes by as much as 3-6 months once. We also told our maids that if they try to try to scam us or anyone in the society then they will be blocked from working not only in my house but also in the apt society not only ours but nearby as well with immediate effect.

Correct Sister. You are always talking correctly. My friend lives in Bangalore and she also faces terrible problems , almost similar to what you are facing. I just woke up for drinking water but am going to stay up till morning till my 2 year old daughter goes to sleep. My husband has also woken up. Nice husband. Okay Sister, thank you. Good morning...

As living standards in india are improving, you will generally find less people willing to take up cleaning other peoples dirty dishes.
Get a dishwasher and a wet mop. Forego Gym membership, this burns enough calories for a typical person. Hire a cleaning company fortnightly to do one off cleaning the whole property, they charge hourly.
Its a standard thing in the west.

The owners are telling lies. When people use phrases like “we trusted you” what it really means is that they wanted to under pay and overwork the maid. Most proberbly the maid told them to f**k off so in order to save face they accused of stealing gold.

      @IndianMillennialWife  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

No no the gold was found in her house after the police went there to search her house 😅. But they later removed the complaint

      Because maid services are broken.
You can't expect a butler like service who will stay back without any one in house and not steal anything.

'Might is right' from up north will not work down south! You have to be respectable to people here. Dignity of labour is respected in Bengaluru and other cities down South.

For less than 5k salary you get only such kind of people. The person you are getting as a maid most probably have lot of family issues and have no other option to work. I have talked to some of these maids.
Almost all of them have no education and thier sons ans husband are mostly addicted to drug/ alcohol.

Salaries for technology related gone up maximum and keep going up basically if you want services plus loyal people you need to pay well enough to run household too right or not? Educated don't get jobs just because they were not downloaded from technology? So learn to do own work maximum as much as possible or be ready to pay for services karnataka government may be giving citizens and voters money but other places like up government not bothered too just want votes and power too? Society's should fix the salaries for part time workers like 30 mins morning and 30 mins evening amount per home like and the person should get like 5 homes bare minimum too? Where are the so called mentors now? Pardon if you don't like this but blr is a overpriced and overhyped city too?

The whole point is not that . When you’re paying for a service you expect some work which is not happening.
Now everyone will suggest “do work by yourself “ but in India there is overpopulation so if everyone starts buying gadgets then what will househelps do? Where will they find work? What’s your solution for that?
