Finally someone who actually shows you how to prepare yourself for success. I am old but am going to learn cello. I love the versatility of the instrument.
I've watched so many videos and I still can't do this. My thumb tenses up and hurts, my pinky also tenses up, and I just can't understand how to hold it without tensing up. I'm extremely frustrated.
great video btw, my 10 yr old son is having great trouble holding the bow properly even after this video. He is a smaller size kid and is using a 3/4 cello. Any other tips ya can give me to try and help him more? His teacher at school does not seem to really care if he holds it rite or not.
i'm a violinist who dabbles a bit in cello and one of the most difficult things i find in switching is trying to get the cello bow hold correct. my pinky wants to sit on top! none of my teachers ever explained it this well. thank you so much!

i play for 7 years and i am playing a fast pace piece and at the middle of it my right arm is killing me.can you help me?
