    Not for nothing, you can also remove a TON of steel of the sebenzas by sharpening many times before it thickens behind the edge. It really was made to have the hell used out of it.

    It's odd to me that people are always saying "their tolerances are tighter than aerospace," yet the scale of a 4"-5" knife assembly is a much smaller scale than that of an aircraft, so /to scale/, their tolerances are reasonable.

    Wonderful video essay!
    Could you make a video on HEC (high end carry) philosophy?

    What a coincidence. I have been sooo split between a FFKW Spinner and a Sebenza. You just talked me into buying a Sebenza. The elegancy, simplicity and ease of maintaining really speaks to my heart. The Spinner would probably make me happy as well, but this almost sound like perfection to me. Oh and btw, is it a small or large Sebenza in the video? its hard for me to tell. Kind Regards

    My 21 has always been my favorite carry knife from the day my gf gave I to me. My umnumzaan is a close second since I got it reground from josh.

    @Michael Emler - Crazy Sharp My sebenza 21 micarta has that exact same issue! Where you go back in forth with the blade and there's this little tick, how did you fix that??

    • @Mwootey316
      @Mwootey316 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Burkinater 48 sounds like your lanyard pin.. you can put a rubber o ring or two on it to hold it tight and get rid of that tick.

    • @anthonyb2990
      @anthonyb2990 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael wooten hah no it's a tick in the pivot. The lanyard pin has been out

    • @Mwootey316
      @Mwootey316 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Burkinater 48 oh. Bummer.. I've never had that happen before.. maybe ask on blade forums or send it in to them to fix.

      Michael wooten ye I sent it in. Cant wait to get it back!

    You make great points man. but I just can’t pay $400 for that personally. It’s a nice knife and all but just nothing that special to me. Elegant simplicity is a good way to describe it.
    I carried my buddies for 2 and a half weeks while I was deciding if I should buy one. I went and handled 2 different ones, at a gun show and at a local shop just to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Nope.... nothing that special to me. But to each their own! I really wanted to love it haha

    What model is that specifically in the video? The scales look more blue ish than the regular plain 21

      I anodized it

    steel insert is great but not a dealbreaker. I have several Medfords,Dsk and Hinderers and they are great. If you get the lock Geometry correct then its shouldnt be an issue. In my opinion of course.

  • @oxyrisin
    @oxyrisin 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a large 21 that has lock stick. Sent it back 2x and it still has a nasty stick.

    • @CrazySharp
      @CrazySharp  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Oxyrisen I've heard of some developing lock stick but I have never had one that came to me to sharpen (probably 25 or 30) have stick

    • @oxyrisin
      @oxyrisin 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Emler Yeah. Strange. I have 5 Sebenza's and no others have any problem w sticky locks. Still my favorite knife to carry though. Well not the lock stick one.

      @@oxyrisin Maybe you have a counterfeit? Idk..I'm just saying. The counterfeit Sebenzas are spot on. Have you seen them? They counterfeited at least a dozen different types of Sebenzas on DHGate.

    • @oxyrisin
      @oxyrisin 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      plejaren giants Nope. It was a carbon fiber inlay, Bade HQ exclusive that I bought new from them. And second, I said they serviced the blade They wound never service a counterfeit.

    Can't imagine Chris Reeve sleeping with another woman and being caught. There 're too many damn knives in his house

  • @flatpat

    I'm new to knives and I jumped right in with a Sebenza with carbon scales when I got my taxes back. I was not expecting such a well made precision knife, I keep it in the box and pull it out to look at it once in a while and went out and bought a Kershaw leek to actually use.

    • @CrazySharp

      You'll be amazed at how well it stands up to hard use once you decide to finally do it.
