I love the ways in which the poetry is shared along with recognition of the critical study. So many lessons center on a plot-driven narrative which is great but sort of easy to represent using materials. But sacred stories that don't have that historical account at the center but seek to represent and draw us closer to the straight poetry and prophecy are so rich in calling forth fewer routine conventions in the shape the materials take and crafting such lessons really demands that we do some hard work wondering what can be left ou and still have enough.
I'm glad to see this video up. This is my favourite Godly Play story. Just to clarify - I'm not actually a trainer, but I do serve on the Godly Play Advisory Committee and lead a church with a strong commitment to Godly Play.
Excellent storytelling Chris. You make this story relatable to adults too, for them to understand. Do you do stories that use the adaption advice for different settings too? For example the circle of the church year or the legend of the Easter eggs?
