I have the same GT Avalanche 29 and I am happy with it. I also bought it at Dicks sporting goods for 450$ a year ago. But why drive so far when they ship it for free in the US?
Hello thank you for your comment and the bike are awesome. We loved it my son and I it’s worth buying for the price of $450 from its original price of $1200.
It's still pretty amazing bike. My only concern is that they downgraded the shift gear to microshifter from Shimano. Though Shimano is bulkier, I still love the quality of that product.
@@TravelwithRomer Thanks for the quick reply. I agree, Shimano’s a great brand. I was actually researching ways to upgrade my components from their default stock parts - which actually came in Shimano. GT’s a solid framed bike, but see if you’d like to upgrade components eventually

Bought a GT avalanche 3.0 back in 2010. I had no idea that GT is still producing it in 2024! Let us know how it’s holding up?

@@samueljeyanessan8353 I’m okay using the microshift for now but when I need to upgrade, I would use Shimano for sure
@@TravelwithRomer Right on💪🏽
