      Indian Bread Rocks is rather limited in the number of sites ;Mark's drone footage tells me it was full. And, the wise, sage advice of Judge Judy "Don't like your neighbors? Move." Which is what Mark did.

      @@DispersedCamperMan They come out of their dens once they sense the underground temp is warm enough. So a day or two of '80s temps won't matter, but a solid 5 days, they start to consider coming out. Usually mid-to-late March, sometimes early April.

    I love your video's Thank you so much for making and sharing them. May I be so bold as to make a small suggestion? Many boondockers have solar systems installed. As such, would you consider indicating during your video as to where south is in relation to how your rig is parked and perhaps how much sun/shade the site may have? This would be helpful to some RV'ers. Fortunately for me I have been to three of the sites you have reviewed. Keep sharing with us and most of all safe travels.

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not much into solar except for my solar rope lights. Majority of my dispersed camping is in forests, hardly no sunlight for solar due to the trees, so I don't have it. Majority of my spots in Arizona all have plentiful sunlight. If I'm camped next to a mountain, I'll point out how much sun I'm getting. Thanks For watching!

    Wow! I'm so glad you made it there Mark. That is one of my favorite places in Southern Arizona to Camp. Every time I head West I usually stop there. I've camped several of those spots. Approximately where you turned around with your motorcycle to head back is where I was walking and saw at a distance my first mountain lion in the wild. It was quite exciting but also made the hair on the back of my neck stand up and I puckered real tight.. I'm getting too old and tough for him to chew on anyway. I love your videos and you're filming. As always, you stay safe and healthy.

    One of our favorite camping spots in. Arizona. We were there last three years ago. There were no restrictions on. camping inside, in fact we camped in a wide spot near the toilets. That was when there was a hold on gov't payroll, some goof up in a funding bill, the rangers weren't getting paid, but the one for that area did come by to leave toilet paper, and was surprised the vault toilet was clean. heh, the wife swept out the dust & cobwebs. T'was better for us as well as others. We'll go back someday, glad to see your video, especially the drone shots. Beautiful. Travel safe.

We live and work in Tucson Az. And made a decision to live off grid. So many awesome places to spend a couple of weeks at a time here. We have been tent camping the past 4 years so it's gonna be a change Lol. Just north of your current location is Mt. Graham. You should check it out when you can. We were there at the same time, in a TT - in fact we even remember seeing your camper and that van next to you...didn't know it was you, though. Where you identified a Class A and went up the hill to a 5th wheel, we were parked in between them. Spent a week there. AWESOME place. They were the second rv'ers to camp next to me. After the first night, a trailer pulled in right where they were and they stayed for three nights. Then after the fourth night the folks you see in the video pulled in next to me. There were numerous spots right a cross the road they could have camped at. I'm usually at a spot for 7 nights. @@DispersedCamperMan There's usually a full-timer that camps in that spot. When he's there, he parks in a manner that's not inviting for a 2nd RV to get in/out easily. Saw his van in one of the drone shots too. It has a distinct front end.

  • @AmericanWanderers
    @AmericanWanderers 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Indian Bread is on my Future Camping Spot list. The Ft Bowie cemetery was the most interesting part of that site I thought. I see you skipped the more colorful inscriptions on the grave markers, along the line of John Williams, age 19. Killed by Apaches. And so on. I don't recall the visitor center they must have built that after we visited. We were there in summer and the place was, no surprise, hotter than Hades.
    Chiricauhua NM is just past Ft Bowie.

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There were definitely several more grave markers to check out. I was kind of rushed since there was a group of hikers right behind me. I didn't want to be there when they showed up. At the end of the trail, there is the remains of Fort Bowie, and the visitor center is right next to it. I didn't get any video of the outside of it. It probably was new, the building looked very new. I spent two nights at Chiricahua on my way to Arizona last September, I was pressed for time and didn't do a video though. Great area!

      They didn't seem shady or anything. I just couldn't believe folks would do that. LOL I do secure my generators and external fuel tank with a cable and lock. I'll lock it to a tree or large shrub. I know if someone wants to take it, they could. But I'm not going to make it to easy for them.
