  • In 1924, seven years after the October Revolution, Leon Trotsky recalled the conflict that erupted within the Bolshevik Party on the very eve of the overthrow of the Provisional Government. “If tactical turns usually lead to internal friction in the party, how much deeper and fiercer must be the friction resulting from strategical turns!” Opposition within the central leadership of the Bolshevik Party to Lenin’s call for an insurrection against the Provisional Government threatened to derail the revolution.

I THINK, you are wasting a considerable amount of attention of non-native English users, to whom [us] it is very difficult to follow this presentation due to lack of synchronicity between the written text and the parallel locution with a partial transcript only.
You are not taking into account the immense audience you could have in a medium of such wide coverage as TH-cam, and miss a magnificent opportunity to deliver your message to a much larger audience.
Moreover, you have a short-sighted capitalist approach with the purpose of raising a few cents for the sale of a book that should be for free. You should ask yourselves what is your goal, to make money, (you won`t) or communicate an ideology?
How much money did Lenin, Stalin or Trotsky earned or spent for making their revolution?
Are you trying to capitalize on the effort and struggle of those great men.
If it were so, I'd believe that you are not more than some Poor, Bourgeois Devils.

Who will pay for the printing of the books? Who will pay to expand the reach and influence of a workers movement? The WSWS has no corporate sponsors, it relies solely on the generosity of workers internationally.
Whilst it is not ideal to sell socialist literature (I agree literature should be free!), it is simply not practical to build a revolutionary movement whilst shirking financial costs. The party would go under, and would have stunted growth. It is irresponsible and imposes limits on its success. Funds must be fought for and raised! Financial matters were of concern to the Bolsheviks as well!
Under capitalist conditions, everything has a cost which must be paid for. The WSWS has an historical responsibility to grow and expand to ensure the destiny of the human race.
If you wish to borrow ICFI literature, maybe join a section and establish a library of sorts! I attest that all literature is well worth its value, and is rich in history and political understanding. Buy a book!
