*****I admire how all of you show your appreciation and gratitude, never sounding fake, and at so many wonderous gifts! There's a lesson in that for all others, it would increase their blessings..AND I have left my tree (artifical) up since 2019! I always left mine up late so I could enjoy the many ornaments I've collected but when the pandemic & quarantine came it was so nice to be able to turn on the twinkling lights and watch my collection revolving as my tree turns (and my 2 cats love it too) SO we decided to leave it up all the time! It has become a symbol of hope & happiness in this time of uncertainty and gloom.
I especially love the handmade gifts that people are so thoughtful to make and send. It not only shows their creativity, but how much they care for you. You are blessed Stephanie, to have such wonderful people all over the world who love you.♥️
I already adopted Philip as a grandson....when I got sick again with cancer...he lit a candle in the chapel for me....I cried when he sent me the video...He's an Angel
@@kerryharding5587 and Loki Cleveland- he is genuine, gentle and a giving person.I met Philip briefly,he just arrived at Lalande and my family and I were guests for a few days.I saw this qualities in him at that time .Blessings to you all ❤️
Glad to hear that you liked the pins. I had made sure to include red to remind you of your dining room and yellow since its Stephanie's favorite color. I tried to find blue for Spode-inspired ones but couldn't find the right shade of blue. Either way, I am glad to hear your excitement over them. I have thought about opening an Etsy shop with the pins and a few other things but I'm not sure yet. Still, its nice to know that they are appreciated. Definitely agree that the toile ornaments are works of art. Can't imagine how much better they wanted them to be but we are often our own worst critics. Hope you enjoy your trip.
it's so nice to see you again, even though we know you're still away on holiday! Can't wait to see the vlogs on your holiday with Mommy and Percy and much more! It will also be nice to Amaury and Nattie too!!!! Can't wait!
After all this time seeing Stephanie unwrap her gifts, it still brings such joy to me. I love this!! Thank you, Stephanie and all Lalanders here for bringing such joy to little me every week. Xx ❤️
The 'Victoria' magazine has been in publication since the early 1990's. I got my 1st copy at a yard sale and quickly subscribed. Through out the years the classical artful taste has remained at the forefront w/ nod to the art of tea and 'the tea'.
How lucky you all are, people are so generous Stephanie I can’t wait to see a dedicated sewing day. Well when you get home from South Africa.sit back relax and enjoy your time on holiday, nothing to do except thoroughly having a good time…I adore the rocking chair made of pegs…💖💖🇦🇺
My storage room had 15 plastic bins of Christmas and Easter decorations. My best friend and I sat in the living room and divided them up among my son, daughter, and myself. When I came across something Stephanie would like, I put them aside. A dear friend got most of my decorations. The toile de jouy came from Facebook Marketplace at a very reasonable price. Not everyone finds the material to their taste and young people don't sew. . . Barb
The hat pins made me think of a friend who past away several years ago in her 80s. She always wore a hat and hat pins. Her last trip abroad they tried to take her hat pins from her, notice I used the word tried. I still miss her she was a wonderful woman.
Another wonderful episode. thank you. It's so nice to see the guests/helpers join in the unwrapping -- Mother and daughter are both so charming and they have their own expertise to add!
I couldn't believe it when I found it on Facebook Marketplace at an unbelievably low price. It's not that popular here and young people don't sew anymore.
What you said about being soothed by being surrounded by beautiful things is basically what my channel is about. Finding beauty everywhere I go. I grew up in a large, very old, beautiful house filled with amazing antiques on 75 acres of land--compete with 12 peacocks, among other animals. So, I know what it's like to live somewhat like you do. However, that was in my youth. My current situation is the complete opposite, so I like to "escape" to paradise by watching your channel. Beauty is so soothing to my soul.
Another idea, a bookshelf in the kitchen for all the cookbooks so that they are right there and the preplanning and ordering the ingredients the weeks before is easier. I have always liked the look of a shelf just below the ceiling like Michael has in the cottage, I don't know what they are called but there you can have the cookbooks lining the kitchen like its own crown moulding.
I literally had hundreds of cookbooks. I read cookbooks like some people read novels. Southern Living and Junior League cookbooks are my fav. . . .Love the idea.
Dear Lalanders ... i am a ballet teacher from a "small" country called Romania... i love you and i hope one day to be near you at La Land .. love you all !
The lapel flower holder is known as a "tussy-mussy" and likely the most famous one was worn by David Suchet in the Poirot series, with and without a perfect bud in it. They were often made of silver and were in the shapes of urns or vases, some of them quite intricate. Enjoy! It will be very useful, come Spring.
💕I subscribe to Victoria magazine and thought of you all when I saw the St. Louis Missouri costume designer in this issue. She’s amazing. This magazine has been published since the 1980s and I have been reading it since 1990. So much romance in every issue.
At 41:45, the woman in the magazine is Sewstine! She has a youtube channel and an Instagram where she shows all of her historical costuming. She makes fantastic things!
The pop up cards & Holiday cards should have a tree by itself .. everything sincere in its wishes .. Remember that everything shared is filled with love ❤
Stephanie and Philip, and all Lalanders, part two of Cadeau at the Chateau. Thank you so much for these vlogs. Having you come into my home is like having my family for a quick visit. Never a dull moment. Hugs.
Such a delight. Enjoying, the last week of January, as i pack up the last of Christmas. I lo e this room, it is the same color as my living room. Your Father's painting, the curtains, and the marvellous tree are a wonderful setting for all of you. Blessings, I hope your travels are going well.
What a brilliant and Fun idea: cookbook per week. At my brother's house they tried a new cuisine each week from a different country. It is a fun way to enjoy the cooking and dinners. Bonne appetite!
Hello all , I live in LA California and I just saw you opening the Disneyland maps. I just wanted to tell you Dole Whip (a fan favorite) is pineapples ice cream ! We love it my daughters can’t go to them park without getting a Dole whip or Churro . Love you all ❤️
High Suzzane, Stephanie has made a couple of things from the fabric in the past. They have so many different things going on that it is just had to use alot of it at any time, I beeive? They have come up with ingenious ide3ea from some of the fabric though when they do take time to figure it all out.
So many beautiful gifts from some very talented people. As someone who loves to sew, I was drooling over the fabrics but everything sent was lovely. The bacon chocolate sounded interesting as well . Thanks for sharing 😍😘
When I moved into my new apartment, I gave up both my portable and Singer sewing machines and all my fabric. Only the toile de jouy was a purchase specifically for Stephanie. I'm thrilled they loved them.
Barb & Stephanie, thank you So much for @ 12:42 It's a recipe we can actually eat! (we don't do carbs or sugar) Also, people should know that spinach is one of the easiest veg to grow & freeze! I'll use veggie chips, (more than likely zucchini chips, dehydrated or raw). When company comes we'll make or buy tortilla chips. I wrote on my recipe card that it was pg 45 of Strirring Recipes from the Memphis Heart & Soul. YaaaY, it looks SO good!
Make a bolster pillow out of the twirl fabric (brown). All of the gifts are so very nice. The towels for Michael really are a work of art. He is going to love them.
I wish I could attach an image - Dole Whip is typically the most favorite treat at Disney with everyone I know! It is pineapple ice cream. They had to release the recipe during the pandemic - it is made of pineapple juice, frozen pineapple chunks, and vanilla ice cream. So refreshing on a hot day at the park.
Sherry has never gone out of fashion in our house. We haveba glass every sunday befire lunch. I have always wanted a ships decanter. Yours looks lovely. Philip how can you get them back to France?
WAS THE VICTORIA MAGAZINE CURRENT OR OLDER. i HAVE COLLECTED A PILE. There is another variation too now from the magazine. The photos are so fantastic. table settings etc. so staged wonderfully.
So many beautiful gifts as usual especially the handmade ones! Here’s to all of the talented folks who share their gifts each and every week! I am always amazed by them! 🥰
Dole whip is a pineapple soft serve. Dole is the name of a company that produces pineapples in the US. You can only get the offical Dole whip at Disney in the US and the Dole plantation in Hawaii. There are copycat recipes online if you want to try making it yourself in your thermo.
Oh the Dole Whip! A most refreshing ice cream- like treat! Made by putting pineapple, citrus and other such fruits through a soft serve ice cream type machine. Look it up, we've made a homemade version that's almost as delicious!

All the fabric is just beautiful and the bunny pillows are just adorable........such thoughtful gifts again ..............Donna in Toronto
Barbara’s gifts are so interesting. With the size of Lalande, you can never have too much Christmas ornaments and toile de jouy fabric. 😄

Dole is a fruit manufacturer in the US. At Disney they use Dole Pineapple to make a whipped ice cream type dessert that people love.
Philip :: you've had a "GOOD HARE DAY " pun intended Cherryl from Canada
Love Victoria magazine! They have an annual French issue. Usually in the summer.
Make a bolster pillow out of the twirl fabric (brown). All of the gifts are so very nice. The towels for Michael really are a work of art. He is going to love them.
That white fabric would make a great copy of Princess Diana off shoulder dress designed by Japanese designer Hatchi

They had to release the recipe during the pandemic - it is made of pineapple juice, frozen pineapple chunks, and vanilla ice cream. So refreshing on a hot day at the park.
Dole Whip (at least in Disneyland) is actually dairy-free! No ice cream involved. I would describe the texture as a dairy-free creamy soft serve.
one horse open sleigh would be great for a tree skirt and cushion covers
Sherry has never gone out of fashion in our house. We haveba glass every sunday befire lunch. I have always wanted a ships decanter. Yours looks lovely. Philip how can you get them back to France?
The long hat pins could be use as cake testers. I have one that was made for that purpose.

You are going to need some really large trees to be able to support all the new decorations 😂
Really weird. I didn’t get notification that this was playing. I usually do and the ‘bell’ is still clicked for all notifications
