Lovely video, brings back happy memories of my two holidays, as a kid on the Broads, in the 1970s
The first time we went on the Bairnmore, from Moores of Wroxham while our friends were on Judith, from one of the big hire companies
The following year three families went, all on Moore boats, as the quality at that time was much better with the smaller company. Our boats were .. Aviemore, Faymore and Claremore.
In those days there seemed to be far more traditional wooden boats, rather than the more modern GRP style of cruisers. I think the Brinks boats were all blue.
I would love to go there again

What a wonderful video, calm, such lovely stills of what life surrounds , and reminds me of many happy years with my late wife, Children, and G/children. Wish I could do it all again but sight and my cell mate no can do. But thank you so much for sharing. Hope to see more from you in the future

My wife & I have booked Encore 1 for late May to early June because although we have boated on the Broads many times have never ventured past either Wroxham bridge or Potter Hiegham bridges. I’m hoping to do a bit of wildlife photography along the way plus we much prefer to wild moore where possible. Do you have any tips or advice we can take with us? Also what did you think about Encore1? Loved the video, thanks for sharing. Mark & Sue.

      Thanks Brian
We’re the water levels too high to pass under these two bridges even at low tide? Also, in your video whilst you were moored up in that lovely spot your wife saw an otter, where was that? (I totally understand that some people like to keep locations of otter sightings quiet so if you would prefer I can send my personal email address).
      Many Thanks
      Mark.

      Hi Mark
Potter Heigham bridge was a 'no go', we didn't't try Wroxham. In nearly 30 years of Broads boating we have only got through to Hickling/Horsey twice but haven't tried every time.
I think that the comment about the Otter was when we were moored at Irstead, but we have seen Otters on all of the northern rivers, usually swimming across the river or along the reed beds, early morning tends to be the best before too much boat traffic.
I forgot to say that we have also seen Grass Snakes swimming and deer (NOT Red).
      Best regards
      Bryan
