If you look at Andy Reid’s last year in Philly it was a disaster. He hired an offensive line coach as a defensive coordinator.

Dave had the best point, the standards are different in Philly. They know when their team is supposed to win and expect it or they move on. They know when their team sucks and will be more tolerant and weight the potential of the players and coaches. That's why Philly has the reputation they do, they know their teams on a higher level than most fanbases.

Somehow Sirianni is not good at hiring Coordinators, but two of his coordinators got hired as HC’s. Sirianni never had a losing season, never missed the playoffs and lead the Eagles to the SB and was phantom call away from having a ring. I’m not sure what Acho have against the Eagles, but he needs to keep their name out of his mouth!!

Agreed 100% he lost both of his coordinators due getting hired as HC. And made bad replacements but it was only one year. In which they still made a the playoffs. The eagles had other problems, 1 DB were exposed James Bradberry, 2, not being able to rush passer like the run to the SB, 3 and JH being injured, and 4. Most importantly play calling for both coordinators.

I'm an Eagles fan, I definitely do not want BB as a coach, but also, yes, Nick should be on the hot seat. You're supposedly an offensive minded head coach but couldn't see the glaring problems with our offense last year and did absolutely nothing to try to right the ship and wouldnt step up and be a boss and do what needed to be done, aka fire the coordinators. So what exactly does he do here?? Cheerlead? I was a big Nick fan before last year, but I lost a lot of faith and respect in him with how everything was handled last year. This year, we have competent coordinators, so I think we will be back to doing well, and he will not be fired, but it certainly makes me wonder what it is he even does here.
No smart coach throws the ball all game with his number 1 wr out from injury, his number 2 wr just coming back from injury due to bonehead play calling/design…and your qb 1 playing with a broken finger from the game before your playoff game against a team you beat earlier in the season with a balanced gameplan.
I agree with everything said here . . As an eagles fan last year was so frustrating just watching Nick watch Brian Johnson run the same 5 plays every game and watch the players frustration on the sidelines and not being able to correct that issue he let that issue continue all the way into the playoffs to end the season . . If he’s such an offensive minded coach he should have changed that gameplan mid season or at least after losing to 49ers or the cowboys . . I feel like he is a cheerleader type of coach that just happen to be in a good situation . With talent on on all phases . .

Offense never seem to flow smoothly which was wild with the talent the offense had last year . . I feel like we were barely getting pass the bad teams just on being talent but it came to light once we started playing the good teams on how bad the coaching really was . . Towards the end of the season teams have more tape on teams and it became apparent just how bland our offensive gameplan really was . . Reports said he was unsure how to fix the issues and scared he was going to lose his job. Then he receive a suggestion "Hey let Shane call the plays" and the rest is history. Why should we give credit to Sirianni for stumbling onto greatness. Is he a front runner or knows how to be a leader of men through the tough times? The difference with Doug is that after winning a SB, the team tanked for three straight years. 9-7 twice and then 4-11-1. At least they gave him three seasons to figure something out. The team never improved. With Sirianni, he deserves the hot seat if the team sucks and misses the playoffs this year. If the Eagles make the playoffs, no hot seat.

There’s a direct correlation with expectations and the talent on the team. If the Eagles were bottom 5 in roster talent, of course expectations would be low. THAT IS why they have all new coaching, position coaching, OC and DC this year and he had to agree or hit the road. Sirianni is not Stoutland…someone who can instruct and develop from KNOWLEDGE and EXPERTISE. So when other experienced coaches catch wind of that…you get out coached and have a “collapse”…and so WHAT the coordinators got hired as HCs. That’s because organizations realized who were the actual brains behind the operations. Sirianni is a great “energy guy” though…don’t know what that’s worth on its own when your team needs schematic solutions and expertise.
@@757CitiesReppa💯Finally someone with some sense. The problem with "energy guys" or the coaches who want to be everyone’s "friend" is they never push or challenge their players. So what ends up happening is the players never reach their full potential.
@@CerebralSigma I don’t think the problem is so much that they’re “energy guys”..I think the problem is more so when they’re ONLY or MAINLY just “energy guys” and aren’t could with the structural, techniques or mechanics of making a team/players better. That’s what Acho is getting at when he asks “how?”…or when he saying “show your work”…like in math class when you have a quiz and they want you to prove you KNOW how you got the answers you got or did you just copy someone else’s work, or memorize, with no in depth understanding of how/why?
You guys are forgetting that Gannon took a job extremely late and lied about his intentions. The Eagles lost out on their first choice coordinators because of that. The meltdown was inexcusable, but Acho’s take is completely unfounded.
