Fun fact: you only have to access westburge station to unlock crown tundra and isle of armor and the when you fight peony you don’t have to win so you can get lengendarys quickly

For Shiny Pokemon in SV, I got around 300-ish but my best hunt was probably the wild level 100 jumbo Magikarp, it should have taken weeks but I got it in around 3 hours!
I joined a discord with some friends who hosted a path for me for yvental so I can get vid out faster, Path stayed the same unless they don’t quit game after the ending raid screen
It took me six days alone to get my shiny Xerneas, probably cause I lucked out with my Yveltal and got it in two days, and I'm not sure howany days I spent hunting Zygarde but I don't think it took as many days as Xerneas.
Im hunting for a shiny zygarde! I absolutely love his shiny so much and i always go for a Premier Ball cuz its the best fitting ball and i reslly want it!
I dunno for Xerneas, they said 12 for Yveltal, maybe 25 or so Zygarde? I'm thinking that their Xerneas was 20 + 30 + a while for Linoone (only four phases, god I wish...) and then the lead up to it. Probably around a hundred since they don't mention going way over odds. I've had two double odds legendaries so far, about 218 for Entei (and nearly 20 failed attempts) and similar for Latias... who appeared at the same time as a shiny Exploud lmfao, but I was perfectly happy leaving it behind. I already have one anyways. I'm just praying my cracked luck for Xerneas and Zygarde (about 20 and 10 resets respectively) doesn't come back to bite me with Yveltal. I'm at about 80 attempts now, so getting close to them odds... I feel like it's gonna be mean to me lmao. The last two were special pokeball resets tho, Beast for Xerneas and Friend for Zygarde espectively, so it's nice not having to worry about shiny phasing with this one since I'm going Premier. I already have the Boltund and Magneton on my path tho 😅 Maybe Rhydon will shine?
@pvestar23 Yep, exactly so. If none of the four pokemon are shiny at the end, close the software and boot the game back up again. The downside is unfortunately the scientist doesn't like that and you'll have to give up dynite ore starting at the third reset, getting worse each time until it caps out at ten, and at that point it drains real fast. I'd like to point out some crucial details about the method. When you go to pick any legendary, the path, rental pokemon and the NPCs choices of swapping out pokemkn are basically fixed. Also, the online versus off-line path and rentals are different. If you do this off-line, which is the optimal way time-wise, if say I pick a Pelipper, the three NPCs will always pick the same rentals, and no matter what opponents you face, they will always swap for the defeated opponent pokemon in a fixed order, eg. Oscar will always take the second pokemon, Peonia will always swap at the scientist, etc. You can only stop this by picking it yourself ofc. If I pick a different rental, the opponent paths will be the same, but the npcs may pick different rentals, and may swap along the path differently. If you're settling in for a long reset hunt, such as Zygarde, I'd seriously recommend experimenting and noting the variances once you get that base good path. I tried letting my stupid npc keep the wide guard user, and they did keep it... and were too stupid to keep clicking wide guard when it actually mattered, even tho they'd done nothing but spam it against the pokemkn with zero spread options. So instead I let them swap offensively.

Not having to rely on the npcs pulling through (and having to wait the full rotation to dynamax) sounds so nice, but I've currently only got the one gen8 game lol, might invest in a second since i do have, technically there's two more switches? Don't know where one is, I've put it away somewhere, I think there's ways I can work around not having to buy extra dlc and stuff, but it's confusing. I'd also look into how to do the resetting with multiple switches, so that your good path (on one of the switches) is the one you're using, not the alternate switch's path. I'm also not sure how the reset (done on the good path switch) affects those switches, in theory you'd be able to take a pokemon on the alt. switches and gain ore, you wouldn't need to reset (by extension, if you have to give up the path, you could find the new path on one with saved up ore). I think it has to do with who entered the chamber first? You can find an explanation if you look around on reddit, I don't know how it'd actually play out. Since you'll have multiple switches I can't imagine you'll have to reset that soon tho lmao, one of them's bound to shine.
