- Lexington Virginia is home to the historic VMI and Washington and Lee University. It was also, home to Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. Two historic figures from the Civil War. These men where both educators, committed to VMI and Washington Lee University. So please join us as we explore Lexington and learn more about these two men and their lives outside the Civil War.

Well how pretty pretty is that valley?! Watching this on TV at the moment. Rach has been Lexington Kentucky but not Lexington Virginia. The military institute looks really cool. We love watching your videos as we’re actually quite history buffs believe it or not and love learning about American history from you. Wow, the jacket with the bullet hole!!! I was born in Stonewall Jackson's house in 1952. It was used as a community hospital. Thank you for showing respect to Lee and Jackson. Lexington is beautiful and hospitality through it has become more politically correct.

Cara, you have done an excellent job on this youtube channel. My mom is from Lexington, and I spent a lot of time there growing up visiting relatives. When I left Lakeland in 1981, Lexington is where I moved to and lived there until 1985. I plan on retiring there. It's very beautiful.

I live in Newport News Va, Lexington is an awesome place. The views are scenic. I retired in November 2022--I love it.
We were stationed at Langley in Hampton VA USAF. John retired 2018. We love Virginia and are planning a trip 2023 back to Hampton Roads. Thanks for watching! ~Cara 😊

Lexington Virginia looks so beautiful and i loved the views over the valley there at the start that you had. I bet John especially loved the Military Institute, the building was lovely. We drove through Shenandoah NP and the countryside outside Virginia is stunning. This was a state I truly loved- all the rolling green hills.

Another really well edited, spoken en presented video. You narrate so well and with interesting facts. Indeed, I sure learnt a thing or three...👍! As much as I love the English style architecture and the french chateaus, I too have a love for the beautiful American state buildings, the red brick homes and country dwellings. It never ceases to amaze me the diversity of building styles around the globe. Lexington is lovely and it sure was WOW seeing the Shenandoah Valley. I am enjoying the ride with you both a lot. Virginia is one our favorite states! Must visit! So much to see. We lived on the Hampton Roads peninsula for 3 years. The famous Williamsburg town is there as well as Yorktown battlefield and town, historic Jamestown…the list goes on and on. Hope you’ll visit one day. Any questions please let us know. In the 40's to 50's Stonewall Jackson House was an area hospital. I was born there in 1952. Lexington has gotten so progressive it has changed to The Jackson House. Stonewall Jackson Cemetary has been renamed Oak Cemetary. It was sad for most of us. You can keep your history, just tell the truth.
I love seeing historic sites, I've enjoying expanding my knowledge of US history through your videos. Lexington VA looks like a really lovely place to visit, and the mountain scenery is just gorgeous!
