If Generations had more time to fit in this function of choosing various clothing Sonic has worn over the years, it would have improved the nostalgia trip for this anniversary title by showing it hasn't always been the exact same clothing for every game he's been in.
I would also find it interesting to see if Classic Sonic gets his own selection of different items of clothing.
What if there was just an option to choose between an modern body and an classic body? Classic Sonic hasn’t really changed much.

I bet if Sega remade sonic generations they probably do something like this, probably not as good but close enough. Also this me just talking but if they did remake this game I would love to have the ability to play modern stages with classic and in vise versa
i assume you didn't look closely because there is a Y above some clothes and you can switch to an alt version of the clothing by pressing Y button

Its because of too much RAM. Try downloading the directx9 mod. That fixed it for me.
