Nice video but i have a couple of suggestions. You're carrying a lot of water. You commented about cooking with the metal nalgene and cup. But you have no food to cook. You commented you would not take time to cook. Yet you mentioned building a shelter . Hot food goes along to to lifting spirits, warming the body when cold. I recommend adding a few tea bags or instant coffee packets. No actual weight here. Then add at least 2-3 freeze dried meals. Only a couple of ounce here. In cold weather uou body burns calories very quickly. Protein bars will not sustain high out put activities such as hours of walking. And in winter? Walking in snow is even worse. 13:29
I have Tea and insta Coffee I forgot to show. Good for Morale! Yes carrying more food would be a good idea however if you get stuck in the elements without shelter your screwed no matter how much food you have. Exposure will kill you faster than starvation. If I needed to stay overnight in the forest or the side of the road I wanted to make sure i wouldn’t freeze to death. Better to rest and camp at night then stumble in the dark and risk injury. Check out the Nemo sleeping bags. My sleeping bag is the size of your air mattress. Then check out the iforest air mattress 4.9 r value 27 inches wide at the top. And compresses down to12 in.x 5in. I was tired of being cold and uncomfortable. Not anymore.
Great timing for this video, I was working on my winter GHB today myself. I’ve got the single tent and sleeping bag in mine also. It’s coming in around 28 lbs, I still need to tweak a few things, but it’s coming along well. Nice video sir.
our get home kits are very similar. of course i dont have the cold weather you do. kudos for weighing it. not enough people consider how much that things going to weigh.
Good video but I tried those antibacterial wipes for the bathroom and I wouldn’t recommend that type, use the ones intended for the face because your booty can burn if you use the antibacterial because of the alcohol or whatever is in it.
if i might suggest: i carry 100 bucks in 20s and 10s. enacting our gethome plan could be for any number of reasons. it would be nice to have the ability to buy gas or food from someone with cash.
If your really in the Adirondacks of NY, I'm calling you out ! I live there ! Winter temperatures can range from 0 to - 50 degrees F in the winter. Your set up will not work at those temperatures. That's no BULLSHIT !

Great gear and video! The Rush line is my favorite. I miss hunting in NY!
If you use the Sawyer, keep it close to your body. If it’s wet and it freezes it will ruin the membrane.

Glad it was helpful!
Do you have an insulator for your bladder and tube to deal with freezing.

Awesome video
Just started watching the video and at 3:00 you said the bag was 55 cubic inches, I think you meant 55 liters. Some may get confused.
No compass or map?

Always a good idea to carry cash
Better looking at it, than looking for it

Okay So let's see YOUR bag... Oh and make sure it's under 30lbs
The rush 72 is an awesome bag. Buuuuut it weighs in around 6 lbs just for the bag. Tough as hell tho.
FYI: You don't check the "Iris". You check the "Pupils".
Yes I know words get mixed up sometimes. As long as you understood the meaning.

It's pronounced DRAMA-DAIRY, not DRAW-MAH-DEE. That, of course, means... camel bag.
TAMATO TOMATO you understand the product, correct?
