    I see you didn't add a mesh between you layers. So question is do you really need to add mesh ? Cheers

    I just saw something about growing a tree by putting the cone itself partially in the soil in a pot and just adding a few drops of water to it daily. But I would forget and wondered if it would work in a terrarium. What do you think?

    You should note you can't use uncoated wire for your air plant, the bare wire will kill it.

    Can the charcoal be the regular type that you use for bbq?

    • @billybrandt355
      @billybrandt355 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Read the label on the back of the bags it may contain harmful chemicals but try it out. You could just have a small fire in your back yard and get some charcoal from that but I know not everyone has a back yard or allowed to start fires in certain areas but if you go camping then you can collect some charcoal pieces

      No, not the same! Please don't use BBQ charcoal. It's usually doused in lighter fluid and would be horrible for your plants. Look for agriculture-grade activated charcoal at garden centers or online, or make your own simple charcoal as suggested by Billy Brandt.

      what is the point of the charcoal ive been making terrariums,vivariums and paludariums for year but never used it. i see filters the water to prevent odors but i dont have odors to any of mine and one of them was made by my mom before i was born. thats been going roughly 20 years and it has never had an odor

      It is best to use horticultural charcoal. Never ever use bbq charcoal

    Everyone has there own way but....This one seems a little different to me. I can already smell the mold...!!! I tried so many of these different ways...this one is just not right nor pretty form the side view. Sorry, but I have to disagree with some things on this!

      yeah and isn't she supposed to loosen the roots before she places them in to help them root better??

    • @xaivang3469
      @xaivang3469 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Bennie Leaphart It may be but sometimes the moss is there to prevent the dirt from getting into the rocks

      Why you are watching if you know all answers? You really don't need to do that. You can and it helps but why to bother they will root still.
