I neither like or dislike taylor infact i feel that both these women are stupid for letting ridge treat them this way... but in restrospect brooke made a whole lot of horrible mistakes but the reason why this one thing blew up in taylors face is because she kept this secret from him for so many years i think it made them equal what made taylor worse than brooke was not only did she keep the secret she also sat in judgement of brooke knowing well that she did something and has not even owned up to her mistake...
I love Taylor, but I have to admit that what you said made a lot of sense. But you have to remember that she did "try" to tell him by leaving him the note that was intercepted by Stephanie because she did not want Ridge to run to Brooke. The problem I have is listening to all the cheap shots being hurled at Taylor by Ridge as if he is Mr. Perfect. It's humiliating to see her running over to him begging him to stay after he has talked to her in that manner. The producers should be ashamed, she deserves better.

This is so hilarious. Taylor and Ridge have been through SO MUCH since that incident with James, including her being presumed dead TWICE! And Ridge quickly forgave Brooke for things she had done, and even pined for Brooke and was willing to raise a baby that he thought wasn't his (RJ, when Brooke had grief sex with Nick). So....basically he was just looking for a reason to leave Taylor because this just was NOT working out... the chemistry is gone! I'll admit Brooke was the obnoxious one in the Taylor / Ridge / Brooke triangle, but once Taylor left and Ridge fell in love with Brooke in spite of her flaws, Ridge became more interesting to me and Bridge was worth rooting for. They have a really good chemistry that I'm afraid Tridge couldn't rival anymore given Hunter Tylo's return and her looking totally plastic and Taylor just being constantly judgmental of Brooke. Also, I feel like Brooke and Ridge had an unresolved love story when they first met. If you watch their earlier scenes before Ridge married Caroline or Taylor, Brooke came off as insecure and even reserved in her feelings for Ridge, and you could see a mutual attraction grow between them that was more than just sexual. As the soap progressed, they wrote Brooke to be a villain and they gave her the more interesting storylines and making her even more flawed against perfect Taylor, whose only existence on the show was only centered around Ridge and an occasional support character because she was a psychiatrist. I feel bad for Tridge fans, but this direction for the show was the way to go.... I had to stop watching in 2012 when Ronn Moss and Susan Flannery left, but I'm not going to lie... I was so glad they kept Bridge together (for the most part) until RM left.
Talking about chemistry, the funny thing is that Hunter and Ronn, were together when she returned in 2005. The kisses on the soap were real kisses then. So offscreen they had real chemistry.
Bridge chemistry was still
lame and their relationship still one of the most toxic af. They’re not even entertaining to watch. Nothing great about it… And the whole history and nostalgia all retconned and rewritten for this couple - how sad and pathetic !

Stephanie, Taylor and others would often have a go at Brooke for her bad morale, decisions and her many men. But when they them self did wrong things it was sort of okay, because they are not Brooke. That`s double standards and hypocrisy in mye view.
Taylor could have saved her marriage if she had just told the truth at an early stage. The fact that Stephanie burned the letter shows that she feared that Ridge just might chose Brooke over Taylor. She knew that Taylor did something wrong, and yet she decided to hide the facts from her son.
And had sStephanie not interfered in her sons love life all those years ago Ridge an Brooke might have been married for many years, and she might have not ended up with Eric. And no, she did not steal Eric from Stephanie, that marriage was long dead before Brooke came on to the scene. She destroyed her own marriage in the way she treated Eric at times (not that he and Brooke are without fault). He made a move against Brooke not the other way around.
Stephanie never told Eric that Ridge was not his son, even though she must have known so for a long time (yes I know there was a test of sorts, but still). It was the same old story, she went after Brooke.
And all those men did chose to sleep with/ be her partner, she never forced anyone of them to do so (as far as I know) So all those men are just as guilty as she is.
Brooke is not perfect and Brooke makes mistakes. But she is a lot better than certain people make her out to be. The writers have sometimes made certain storylines somewhat unbalanced. Which meant that Brooke got shown as someone she really is not.
And when the writers tried to change that by showing her in a different light, and showing her getting revenge against the people that did her wrong so many times, some people still complained and made her out to be a tramp and a whore.
And what many people seems to forget at times is that this is a tv show, not real life. Katherine Kelly Lang and Susan Flannery actually became good friends over the years. Even Brooke and Stephanie made peace and became friends in the end, now that`s tv for you.
You dont have to like Brooke (by all means), but dont make her out to be someone she is not, as a sort of excuse for your hate. That`s just silly.
Love Taylor, her story line was so powerful

That's so sad because Taylor was NEVER EVER HONEST WITH RIDGE. It's just the way the writer's wrote her in the sense of everyone treating her like a saint but Bell would show several scenes showing that she wasn't as innocent as she appeared or how people thought she was perfect. But Brooke even when she was innocent and sweet they all treated her like she was a skank before becoming one or a liar or fake etc. Brooke hadn't really shown any of those characteristics and then they started plotting against her to make what they said become or appear to be true.
