- Investors Brace for New Investments as Hong Kong Approves Bitcoin ETFs
Hong Kong market regulator has greenlighted the launch of Spot Bitcoin ETFs, prompting a 3% surge in the market value of the world’s largest cryptocurrency. Three ETF providers have reported receiving clearance from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. ChinaAMC obtained regulatory approval for virtual asset management services, while Harvest Global and Bosera International were also given the green light for Bitcoin ETFs. Despite regulatory approval, the launch dates of Hong Kong's ETFs have not been announced. Hong Kong aims to establish itself as a regulated crypto hub. This comes after US money managers secured initial approval for Bitcoin ETFs earlier this year.
