Silat takes the eyes of an eagle, the reflexes of god and the precission of a silicon dye machine. Jaming the gun in a real life scenario takes so much more than just using muzzle memory. You need to recognize, anticipate, react once, then twice then press on to keep momentum. This is very complex and only can be achieced in a life time. While you were robbed 3 times meanwhile...

you don't hold the arm down really long. In reality, once the attacker applies backpressure against you, you transition to an arm lock. you let him extend his arm and apply pressure to his shoulder. Doing this in one swift motion will dislocate the shoulder. If he starts to punch with his other arm, you can transition into another lock.
you won't use those locks in real life immidiatly, rather after softening the target with blows to the head, to the side, throat eye poking etc.
I do pencak silat and its often more about the princible, rather the exact movement.

Great demos but usual training scar…youg assistant throws punches 1 1/2ft short to make it easy to intercept, nobody punches short on real life…that would mean ur in kicking range while punching

Guys like you always drive me crazy realistic, everything you think that’s the way of learning. If that’s the way it happened in the military. People would be dead with Fernette sticking in them just in training and no one would ever make it to the battlefield. How about Pugel stick training? I hate you armchair people you ever pay attention to how boxers train? Nothing safe with you kinda guys if it was up to you you would have 100 students in the room there be two left when they were done because everybody would bust each other‘s heads rather than learn something before the battle.
