Thank you so much for the help I have been trying to find tips like this for a long time
awesome Man i had a 29 gallon tank a few years ago... i fed mine crawfish lizards minnows and basically anything that moved.... im about to get a 75 gallon tank and hoping to get another pet bass and maybe (a redfish) thanks for the refresher!
Awsome man i was thinking about getting everything i need to keep a bass
great vid man, i have a little bass right now and this answered all my questions
I just got a new tank so this helped a lot. I have rider, my 8 lbs bass.
We caught our bass earlier this year. About 2 inches big he kept swimming into my daughters hands. We figured he was sick and would die but hes gotten 4 times bigger since we brought him home and he loves feeder guppies.
It’s illegal to keep a small bass
Where did you get desk on the bottom of it from or did it come with it?
Noti gang‼️
Do you have to change the water or do you have like a filter how dose that work???
What’s ur opinion on sand bottoms? I think they look good but seem kinda difficult
Hey um what is the filter in the description should I buy itBecause you didn’t talk about it
I know I’m real late to the party but did your bluegill ever fight and if so how did you deal with it?
Hey I love your vids and stuff but one question could I keep a bass in a 30-40 gallon tank get back to me as soon as possible thanks man
Can you do a video on how you remove the spines of the bluegills correctly?
can a 55-gallon tank full of water and decorations go on my dresser? I'm worried that it won't hold it because the tank will weigh a lot.
9:55 I got my pet bass when he was a little fry he is like 5 inches now but I don’t really know if I am feeding him enough
Is this same for all species of bass? Including smallmouth?
If u live in the uk do u need a heater
The feeding cycle and frequency is what I'm interested. I've had several bluegill and bass as fish at different times, and have had tanks with multiple species of fish most of my 45 years of life. I had a spotted bass that I named Spots and posted videos of him on Facebook over a year or so for my friends. For feeding, I would go to the river and catch native minnows and guppies to feed him, or if I was short on time, I'd buy comet goldfish (feeder fish) or red rosie minnows from the pet store to feed him. However, I may have been feeding him more than he needed each week, which he never complained about, but I'd just get the minnows and leave them in their bag to acclimate to the water temperature of the tank (and build some anticipation of hunt for him) then let them go. A couple/few days after he'd finished off all the fish, I'd get him more, because I didn't know how often he needed to eat. This the primary info I'm looking for: how often do bass need to eat based on their size and weight? I caught Spots when he was about 6 inches long and let him go when he reached 11 or 12 inches.
What kind of water do you use
Tank cleaning video yes!! I keep getting brown algae buildup, I have the same size tank with a lot of filtration and a bass about half the size of Russell
Try not to leave lights on too long
Get a atleast 10 inch pleco. I just got one and was hoping he wouldn't try and eat the pleco but he doesn't even bother with him and the pleco cleans the tank nice
@@dylanmacleod6589 not a bad idea! I just don’t want the biomass of the tank to be too much
Anyone setting a tank up put an air stone in the tank you need to put oxygen in the water by agitating the surface with the little bubbles with an air pump they also sell at pet stores
are you keeping him in thee his whole life?
Hey everyone I’m getting a pet bass very soon and I was wondering is tap water ok mines very hard tap tho but with the filter it’s slowly going down ?
You might want to buy prime a declorinating chemical to use when adding new water. You probably figured it out already since it has been 10 months but if you haven't I hope I helped
I’d like to raise a bass, however I don’t know what kind of water to use. Do I use tap water, hose water, or water from the pond or lake it comes from?
You could use tap or hose water. (They are the same thing) just make sure to use de chlorination to make it safe for the fish. The de chlorination should have instructions on how much to use.
Only OG fans remember GOOB #gonebutnotforgotten
Hey I have a 125 gallon outside tank. I put all the correct stuff in the water, proper filtration system and the bass keep dying?? What am I doing wrong here? I’ve lost like 5 bass already and I’ve let them all acclimate before putting them into the tank.
Maybe it's the water. My bass was unhappy and stopped eating after i changed his water. Figured out that the water needed more of the stress coat and the stuff that gets rid of chlorine. I allowed the water to sit and the chemicals to evaporate before I put in my bass. Then i slowly feed it pinches of worms little by little and before you know it, it starts eating them whole again.
I keep a bass in my 210 gallon with 3 Oscar’s 2 rock bass 1 blood parrot and the bass loves it there no problems what so ever
Do you think a 150 gallon would hold a pair of bass or is it a bit small?
@@4cooey I think it would be perfect for a pair of bass for raising them to 3-4 pounds.
@@thatsmelol22what about raising one to about 2-3 pounds what would be needed?
@@YourMichiganFishermanat least a 75 but 100 or more is ideal
Hey so I caught small 6-7inch bass and I followed your instructions etc, how long till they start acting normal and start eating? I bought some small goldfish to feed him and worms and doesn’t seem interested atm any advice?
Same issue here
When did your bass start eating? How many days passed?
Now I know how to keep a bass next step trying to convince my parents
if you get one start making vids about it i would love to have a largie as well!
Yo man I found ya on tik tok I make fishing videos also! I’ve also wanted to keep a bass
Keep one!!! It’s amazing and you learn a bunch about the species
What’s his tiktok
I got a bass today but where I am it's cold out so the lane was cold and my tank is at 78 degrees and when I put the bass in the tank he started breathing heavy and still is after 3 hours
Did you acclimate, how is he doing now
Don't listen to the haters Russell is fine in that tank until gets bigger, got mine a fingerling after spawn from a pond last year started him on flake food and now at 12 inches he eats cichlid pellets gently from fingers which he also is in a 55 gallon healthy they make good pets long as in proper aquarium/diet :)
Not legal in Michigan out of season but they don't check your house just don't tell the dnr
Can you feed bass shrimp and cricket
Would you put two bass in a 110 gallon aquarium
honestly not, sorry im late but 1 you will struggle with feeding each fish adequately ones usually dominant, and 2 bass are naturally aggressive and even in a lake with plenty space they fight
These vids are super helpful!!!!!!!
u think 40 gallon would work
Honestly I was paying more attention to Russel than the instructions 😂
Air pressure
I have I 3 inch bass in a 37 gallon is the to small
For now that should be fine, but you'll have to upgrade once it gets bigger.
New VID on the other Chanel soon? #aandt
Yes very soon
Pretty cool 55 is good for now. maybe upgrade to a 90
Really he is too small for the tank well since you don’t have much stuff in it He has plenty of room. But it is recommended. To have 10 gallons. Per 1 inch for keeping a bass so technically that tank is only made for a 7 inch bass
Is this a largemouth bass or a peacock bass
Largemouth
Can you keep a bass in california
No I don’t think you can legally 😢
@@69_Samurai_YT 🤫
@@Mr.Clipzz 😂😂
That bass bigger than a pound lol
Tell me you're a fisherman without telling me you're a fisherman 😂
Bro don't change your filter cartridges so often it has beneficial bacteria on it and the tank needs that bacteria or you will get a ammona spike and kill Russell, when it gets dirty just lighty rinse it off, only change the cartridges 2 or 3 times a year.
What if you bought the bass what will you do if you bought it
he should really have a 75 gallon. the 55 isnt wide enough. you are only looking at the length bro
Honestly that tank is too small for Russell. He’s pushing a foot and will get bigger. I’d say 125 is the minimum dude. You’ve been fish keeping for barely two years and clearly don’t have the experience.. your reasoning for tank size that are bigger is that you heard you can keep fish in that size 😂😂😂😂 what a joke 😂😂😂😂
God bless everyone who sees this have a great rest of your day and a great day tomorrow bye. God is king and God and Jesus loves you ❤️🙏🏽🤍🕊🤍
