Even before you mentioned the intro video I was thinking how cool the concept, the pipe you shot thru for the coffee, the lighting, sound & the editing was... and I make my living making videos! Now I'll watch the rest of the video because I'm still trying to figure out how to install one on a Cat or Trimaran. And to the doubter below... what good is the 2nd auto-pilot when the electricity goes out? I sailed a ketch from Hawaii to Tahiti with a vane and was glad I didn't have to self steer the whole way.
@kevallrob7343 Thanks for the comments 🙏 I think both self steering wind vane and autopilot is a must for long distance cruising Do you have a cat or trimaran?
@@slightadrift I only have an imagination, but I started imagining the ideal boat nearly 50 years ago. I agree that all are valuable, especially now that solar and lithium batteries are so possible. When I sailed the ketch nearly 50 years ago, the common wisdom was that it is a bad day when you flip a CAT. At that time I loved my Hobie, and righting it from a turtled position was easy. A 10 Ton Cat would be a different issue. As a packrat, I imagine needing many redundancies and spares. (2 autopilots and 1 WindVane with lots of spare parts!)
I do entertain the idea of a trimaran. There are plenty of catamarans and trimarans that haven’t flipped. I guess it’s just another boat specific situation you need to not put yourself in.
Just found your Chanel. Just bought cal 39 sailboat. I'll do what you did. Thank you. 🎉cheers.
Your videos are always high quality. The intro was great 👍
Cheers for the kind words mate 🙏
LOVE the intro. Well done T
Cheers Paolo!!

Intro made me think it was a pro channel, albeit I watch because I like the content already!
Wait… I’m not a pro channel? 😂 thanks for the compliment 🙏
love the intro
Thanks mate! 🍺
Great ! 😀
Did you paint the original vane or did you have a new cloth cover made?
Fabric spray paint. Is holding up so far 👍
