That's the thing, it sounds electric but it's only 1922 and I thought electric recordings didn't start until around 26. A shako is a type of military cap. The same one pictured in the slideshow there. They seem very European and I doubt that Americans wore them. I know Canadians did for a time, but we (unlike America) wanted desperately to be Brittain junior and wanted the approval of our European mother, great England.
I missed those Shako's while I was typing my first comment. From the label,it is an acoustic, recording. One of the finest that I have ever heard. Sounds early electric. BTW: Major labels started electrics during the fall of '25. Some small label's perhaps up to a year or two later.
@@tedlawrence4189 I always miss details like that on labels due to my very low vision. I usually try to take a picture and zoom in but my photography skills are lackluster at best. Even when Indo get a photo it usually doesn't zoom in enough for me to see well. Interesting information about the start of electrical recording, thank you for that!
Very clear early electric. Listen to it twice while sitting in my old shako. LOL. Still do not know what the Hell a skako is!

You are doing a very good job on both the photos and the recordings.
