I looked at his minor league numbers from last year. 101 at bats, 8 home runs, 22 RBI, .356 average and .421 obp. Let him stay in MLB and continue to improve. His contract is for $800,000 this season and he is pre-arbitration in 2026 and '27.
To trade Taylor, the dodgers would have to eat at least half his salary. Even then I don’t see many teams willing to take him unless he’s packaged with a viable prospect or two.
Some signings like Kershaw and Kike won't be until people can be put on the DL. Yates can be drug out until February but Scott needs a spot now because he already completed his physical. Both Kim and Sasaki are international signings are counted as non roster minor leaguers until the close of Spring training. So yes only 1 spot is needed because Scott took Lux's spot
I agree. It's kind of a make or break year for Grove, Miller and May. Dustin's been injured so often and if he's healthy in September and the postseason that will be huge for the Dodgers.
I predict if the Dodgers don't reach a multiyear agreement with Vesia before his arbitration hearing, he will be traded. With Scott, the team has two lefties in the bullpen and Vesia is becoming expensive. A lot of fans may scream about it, but there is a reason the Dodgers are haggling over a few thousand dollars. plus, vesia would have solid trade value and it help provide roster relief. Other they sign him to a multiyear as they have done with other players in similar spots in the past, or he will be traded either individually or as part of a bigger package if the team has a target in mind to upgrade say, CF or a SS that would push Betts over to second. Just something to look for.
Vesia is a valuable lefty arm though. Hard to come by. The Dodgers have 24 pitchers on their current 40 man roster. Includes Jack Dreyer, Ben Casparius, Nick Frasso, Brasier, and Michael Grove. All right handers. The 24 pitchers don’t include Sasaki, Scott, and Yates and Kershaw. Kershaw perhaps doesn’t have to sign until he’s ready to go. Not sure. I can’t even decide who we should keep. Too difficult. 2026 has more resolutions. Barnes and Taylor gone and Kershaw retiring most likely. I’m sure the Dodgers front office has this all figured out.
Is it possible that the injury he had in the postseason was more serious than they said so Dodgers don't want to give him more money? Maybe they thought he would be satisfied with the 2.05 million they offered and are surprised or upset that he wants 2.35 million?
BLOCKBUSTER TRADE!?!?! And Nelson's head liner is Brazier??? Are you stupid? I'm so done with this moron, AKA Mike Nelson dude how do you keep your job? Brad must be your brother in law or something like that 🤔 No substance just fill air space, just let Brad do ALL the reports it can't take that much time to produce a quality 8 minute pod cast!!!!
Chris Taylor's 200 annual strikeouts would look great on another team.
😂😂😂 omg i thought the same thing
EXTREMELY FUNNY & BEAUTIFUL COMMENT
Don’t get rid of pages. He has power in his bat and needs more time in outfield to develop.
Would you rather develop a player with the potential to be great? Or trade him for a player who’s already proven he’s great? 🤔
@ I’m talking about between Outman, Taylor, and Pages.

Met Grove. Signed my hat. He’s a nice dude.

Idk about Grove, him, Knack, Gonsolin, May and Stone are the best long relievers options ATM. Both May and Gonsolin will be out of options this year

You can trade Brazier and trade Taylor .. Brazier 4.5 m and Taylor 15m .. that puts 19.5 m off the books for scott
Dodgers would have to eat some of that salary.

Keep Vesia, he had a 1.74 era last year. Defer if they have to.
@@f430ferrari5Max will probably be gone too in 2026.
Get rid of Knack, Grove,Outman, Taylor.

Yes, bye. Stop trolling troll.
Mike, not to throw shade on you, but your headline is so misleading. I won't be returning.
This isn't an airport, no need to announce your departure..
Now that was an epic comeback😂😂
Brad Jay
Let's hook up with Yankees. Trade Taylor Brazier and Grove for Stroman. Make Stroman a reliever long man
Get rid of Grove, Phillips and Chris Taylor!
Phillips? Explain.
