    Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas. I have an earlier version of Zephyr and am considering upgrading (?) to this one. Your perspective is very helpful. I was hoping you would actually demonstrate changing a CV value. I do appreciate this tutorial & you efforts.

    An excellent video. Im starting in N scale and was looking at either the Zypher express or the NCE power cab. The Zephyer has more amps and looks dead easy to understand.

      I'm currently using the NCE Powercab on my N scale layout. The Powercab is rated at 3 amps just like the Digitrax. I do like the lever controls for direction/brake & throttle on the Digitrax, I also like the display, so I will most likely swap out my Powercab for the Digitrax.

    When connecting you wires, you can unplug the bus from the unit to make it a little easier

    Good video, I just ordered this unit for a dedicated program track only. Digitrax tells me the Zepher has an interface already built in, so if you wanted to set up on lap top, no need to purchase an interface. My long term goal is to do so. Digitrax is a good system. Thanks for sharing.

      I have also had 2 Strokes. Previously I learned how to use the previous version DT50 as a member of the Tennessee Valley Model Railroads club. Subsequently I purchased a Zephyr DT 50 for home use. The user manual explains things in detail ! Good luck in the taking your next steps.

    Nice work Digitrax. However, I feel the screen could have been upgraded, maybe a bit larger with some color. 3amps is more than adequate this entry level command station. Overall I like the knobs and buttons. compact size with 3 amps. Good stuff👍

    Bought one of these yesterday and have NO IDEA exactly what the BRAKE setting is supposed to do on the Forward/Reverse lever, because it's NOT slowing down and stopping any of my loco's. The decoders in my loco's are setup to use Function button 2 to apply brakes and this works fine. So can anyone tell me about the BRAKE position please?

    Great Product James,, I do have a Question the ESU stand that the Lok Programmer & other ESU Device is Resting on and the Programming Track is attached too is that ESU sells or Another Firm Sells and if so about how much does it cost..
    Thanks James Allen D

    What would you recommend between the two: this Digitrax Zephyr or NCE Power Cab? Thanks.

    • @Trains-With-Shane
      @Trains-With-Shane 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends. I have a Power Cab and love it. But. it's a handheld unit not really for sitting on a desk and has separate components that you have to wire in, etc. The main drawback for me is that it has a scroll wheel where the Digitrax unit has a throttle knob/handle along with forward/brake/reverse handle. To me that adds a cool tactile feel which is why i'm looking at possibly adding a Digitrax system to my setup. If I had to do it again i'd probably pick the Digitrax for the physical controls. But it's more expensive.
