  • Can you tell the silver from the gold? Found around our coasts, wetlands and uplands Golden Plover is a beautiful medium-sized wader. Its cousin, Grey Plover, can be found around our coasts in most months of the year, causing a potential ID challenge. This ID workshop will help you to confidently separate the two species.

    Saw a Golden Plover when we visited Iceland. So pretty! This is one of the best bird ID channels I've found.

    I just spotted a golden one in breeding plumage today in northern Sweden, so I had to learn more about them, thanks! Truly stunning in breeding plumage!

    Very helpful video, thanks. We normally have 30 to 40 Golden Plover on a piece of poorly drained arable land on the farm. This year we have somewhere between 200 and 300 birds on the same area.
