I'm dancing now and remembering a lot of memories. I hope that Sony will make more similar games with the possibility of high graphics in this generation. They can at least make a remaster of the game.
The original song by itself gave me a feeling of utter happiness. But I'll be damned if I can name the feeling this gave me. There's no way to describe this masterpiece.
The first ps2 games I saw my brother play were Shadow of the Colossus and Ico... so much nostalgia for my short childhood. Thank you for this song.
Heal came up on my Spotify and I remembered this bad boy from all those years ago
I have often wondered whether or not SotC or Ico could exist in a non-medieval setting, due to the types of emotions and virtues they draw upon (I argue that medieval times invoke feelings of love, acts of love, and pure emotion far better than the ambiguities of futuristic settings, but I digress). Thanks to this remix, I now know at least that a soundtrack would be possible. Thanks for keeping Ico alive.
You Were There is an amazing song, but Heal is my favorite song from ICO it can relax you no matter what mood your in.
In games like ICO and SOTC that leave so much up to the player, it takes a soundtrack of their caliber to evoke true emotions and they succeeded in both games gloriously

@GedKelly1999 That's why it is called a remix. The original was evoked emotion and all but... they don't call remixes emotion renditions.
@CH3BURASHKA Part of that for me is the sense of age and population sparsity that doesn't really seem applicable unless in a post-apocalyptic context - that is in a futuristic setting. Ico & SotC seemed both full of life and incredibly lonely, but still a world that felt endless and full of places to explore.
@kazXchu It's not exactly an emotion but I think that I have an idea: Imagine that you are on a carribean beach...waves lapping at the sand...beautiful sunny day with large billowy clouds off in the distance...you are sitting under a palm tree with the wind blowing through your hair...the perfect example of peace...tranquility...and harmony...a place we all long for yet will rarely if ever reach......Forbidden Peace...THAT'S the emotion...A peace we long for but can't have.

I've actually had a copy of this song for a long time now... but I thought it was longer... like a longer opening from about a minute in and onward and a skip there at 1:25 or so isn't there in the original... so... whats wrong with the original.
Pretty sure I picked it up from VGMix2 back in the day or OCRemix...?

I'm afraid I am the one dislike here so far. This mix takes away all the simplicity and innocence of the original, in favour of...what? Nothing, as far as I can see. It's certainly well done technically, but I just don't know why it was done at all.
I'm not flaming here, and I hope I don't come across as too much of a twat. I have never liked those who thumbs-down and run, or make crappy one-word abusive replies; I wanted to give an honest reaction. No offence is meant to the OP.
@OniSushi I agree, actually. Certainly not my favourite remix and it loses a lot of its semblance later into the track.
