@@seanwatts392 ,I'm not so sure,but it was indeed a significant amount,it all depends on your actions in the game too,if you play by the honor side you're gonna be happy to win $10 like me,if you play by the bad side you're gonna get greedy,and $50 won't be enough,you might get more money like that but there will be consequencies,that's why actions in the game means something,and if we're talking about 1899,every little money counts,actions have consequencies,right Dutch.

You can also trigger the robbery by giving money to the homeless man outside the stable in Saint Denis and wait for him to tell you about the robbery tip.
Or if you free one of the runaway prisoners from his shackles he gives you the tip

50$ from the table, 17$ in the safe, gold nugget is 25$, premium cigarettes and stuff from the kitchen and the guys, and 20$ from the gunsmith in the register.Thats around 140$.You get 300$ from a fully robbed train so yeah its actually good to rob the GunSmith.

lol Before I started this, there was someone in store so I walked out and they pickpocket me. Chase them down and got money and made an extra $166 bucks.
The same thing happened to me but I didn’t realize what happened until the shop owner told me I was just pickpocketed. I ran after him, got my money and decided not to rob the poker game because I felt like I owed him one. Came back the next day and robbed it. Lol
@@LowenKoniig Same thing happened to me. Ran the guy down and lassoed him, made $300 in total but then decided to Feed him to an alligator and the police caught me so I got a massive bounty.

You have to hogtie the guard downstair or else the lawmen will come shortly after you go upstair.
Everytime I try to get the items at the store, any store, in this situation, someone comes by and alert the cops.
The same happened at Rhodes' gunsmith, even with him saying I could take what I wanted. So I gave up trying to get the extra stuff.
I just did this and I took one bit of ammo and the cops kicked down the door
This is perfect for me. My current Arthur is ruthless and doesn't care one bit about being dishonorable. Pretty fun this way but the bounty's get expensive and people seem kinda mean to me.. but it's deserved
Imagine grinding couple hours & playing mini games just to get to level 60 and buy a hat........
I managed to take the guard in the room out with a throwing knife and kill the guy with the combination (accidentally, I thought he was going to pull a gun) silently without alerting the authorities. Robbed the room first before blowing the safe open with dynamite. Grabbed the loot and jumped onto the neighboring roof just outside the upstairs door. Never got a bounty, just had to book it from the immediate area and lay low until the searching wore off. It was a bit more grandiose but it worked.
The conversations of the npcs and arthurs make this game so realistic
I tried the heist the same way he did, and got a $920.50 bounty. I might’ve done something wrong, but I don’t remember doing the wrong thing.

When I entered for the first time trying to do this, I got pick-pocketed for 600 dollars and had to chase the man down, and I threw my lasso and hogtied him, looting him for over 1000 dollars. I was so happy about this.

you still get a bounty though, I saw the guy that took mr black and mr whites bounty poster and immediately beat his and took it off him. I took off on my horse and lost the law quick and had a 5 dollar bounty for unarmed assault

I was looting the gun store and some guy walked in but I didn't see or hear him so I got a hearty 50 dollar bounty on my head for escaping the police. Thanks for this amazing tutorial though! It helped me through every step of the way

You could still get wanted if someone someone walk in the store whether they see the gunsmith body or not. Bring the horse to block npc
They could’ve made these robberies more lucrative. Gambling in general could’ve been more lucrative, especially in Saint Denis and Blackwater.

My lowest bounty was 1.50 for the Valentine back room. Took masking up, murdering only the o'driscoll's and then tying everyone else up and then sprinting from the sheriff's waiting outside.

pro tip after knocking out the gunsmith steal the ammo and the register there will be a npc coming inside for a while but leaves after a few secs if you do this after taking the money upstairs the npc will snitch on you had to redo the whole encounter because of that
I made the mistake of trying to get in the back door through the valentine doctors office using dynamite when I first started playing. Moral of the story is I didn’t get in and now I have a 800$ bounty in new Hanover
You should take the guys out,tie up the woman,because...she's a woman 😂,or just kill her,I didn't do that,take the money on the table and the Schofield Revolver and get out,if you stay more than that to loot everything else you won't get away in time,and always remember not to shoot any lawman,just run enough to get your horse and lose them,I got $50,the best revolver and only $1,50 of bounty,there's not need to be greedy.

At least now, for the Valentine robbery, if you don't kill anyone besides the people in the backroom and make it out of town, you'll only have a $1.50 bounty. Tried it earlier in my current playthrough, reloading saves to see if I could get it without a bounty. You can't but it was always $1.50 unless I killed lawman and then it was more
I knock on the door. The guy tells me its invitation only. I point my gun at the gunsmith and he pulls his gun out on me.
I feel bad for the gunsmith tho 😂 if the gunsmith cries in the third time you robbed his shop😂

I got the tip of this place from the St. Denis market. A group of Chinese immigrants sitting around the fountain was speaking in Cantonese about a group of men in suits keep entering the gun store and exiting through the back acting suspiciously. I head over the gun store to investigate there after and found the private gambling room.
I got a bounty from beeing from the window when robbing the gunsmith

In my time, it wasn't so clean and smooth like that. Mr. Shotgun screamed very loud that day. I know, my extra money get lost too with the bounty for my head. But I have some story to tell at least. Of course, I didn't realize that they have a safe box. It had many guns smoking in the room to hear, see or think.
I came here, got about $50 and got wanted . Should've watched this video first. I let the guard live guarding the security door and shot the guard in the gambling room. Then everybody else when i got a bounty. If i hadnt killed them, i wouldve gotten more cash. I died and couldn't rob the store after.

I threw a tomahawk in the poker room and was instantly flooded with police. Props to Saint Denis Police Department for being able to correctly identify the sound of a tomahawk throw from 3 floors up.

I did this heist and came out with a 50 cent bounty, but it bugged when I pressed surrender
So now I'm running from the cops and they procede to kill my horse then kill me, so I got a net loss of 700 dollars for a new Arabian because of a 50 cent bounty (which went up for initiating the gun fight)
I knocked on the metal door, but when I tried to aim my weapon at the gunsmith to get inside, he just pulled his out and started shooting at me

You use L2 to interact with Npc so while holding L2 you have an option to aim weapon by pressing R2 at npc. I think I haven’t tried it yet though
If you use the bow or the throwing knife or the tomahawk or any of those stealth options does that count as firing a shot thus resulting in a bounty?

No throwing , just melee while holding a gun if you holster your weapon they will try to defend or call lawman

I manage to do this without an bounty actually. Went in gunstore with a bandana, pointed a gun and told him to empty the cash register. Then afterwards i told him to open the safety door. Wait for the conversation to be over, stepped in and the guard was in front of me. Knocked him out and hogtied the gunship owner. Then took cover behind the wall, threw a knife to the guards head. Threatened all in the room, shoved back the one who was covering the safe. When that happened all of them fled, but didn’t get a bounty. Exploded the safe with a dynamite. Took all the money and fled via the rooftops. Close to the harbor it is a staircase leading down to floor. Then left Saint Denis with no bounty and only one witness that was investigating and the site wasn’t even “hot” on the map 😌
I'd probably consider doing this for at least 2000 dollars. The game gave me more than 5000 dollars for doing nothing just passing through the story anyway.

When you have a 1500$ bounty in Lemoyne, West Elizabeth, and New Hanover it’s kinda hard to care what happens to you.
You don’t get a bounty for robbing the Rhodes gunsmith if you are deputy

A stranger being taken in by two men will also give you a tip anout the poker game above the st denis gunsmith. The stranger you rescue says he was mistaken for his brother petey. I ran into all this on the road above brandywine drop headed downriver through roanoke valley

Does this event/robbery respawn? i'm over halfway through my first playthrough and i have seen the o'driscoll business behind the docter respawn a couple of times. i dont know if its a glitch or something.

there is also a homeless beggar that gives you a tip about the poker game for me he was down the road from the big saloon asleep by the benches. its a nice piece of dialogue
