My favorite Christmas & 1st real Christmas was when I was finally adopted at 7yrs old. I still can remember the gifts & that Santa had left me so many gifts I had ever seen. It was about 4 from Santa & maybe 6 or 7 more gifts from the family but the only Christmas I remember at the orphanage was just a little party put on somewhere & this guy with a white beard would hand out one gift for each of the children randomly & no order. Then we would go back to the orphanage & that was it. We really didn’t keep the gift for just ourselves but it was shared with everyone in a toy box. You really didn’t have anything of your own there. So the 1st real Christmas was special. My best gift was my new family that was all my own. I remember sitting back for a moment just staring at everyone & their excitement & remembering thanking god for my new family! 🥰🎄💚
Man, you rock at story telling! Big lols and smiles all the time. So much to tell and such a flair for telling. And the wooden shoes? I used to wear those in the garden when I was a kid. They keep your feet warm and dry on the wet and soggy clay soil. And indeed, we (they? I’m Swiss now) in the Netherlands put our shoes in front of the fire place instead of hanging our stockings up. Fun fact: ever less houses have a fire place so it’s very common to put them in front of the central heating nowadays. Makes me wonder what people with floor heating do… in front of the cooker?
What a whimsical & beautiful tree! Thank you for showing all your ornaments on your tree & telling stories about them. Your stockings & Dutch shoes were cool too. I love your stories you tell. I’m glad your meetings went well. May you have a fun & safe day of flying today. 👍✌️😊💚🎄
Ahh Steven, this video was a balm for my soul. I had to take Chucky Chihuahua to the emergency vet this morning and I had to say goodbye. He was only going on for me, he had heart failure and it was getting worse. This video is helping me today. Thank you ❤
Oh, wow.. Judy.. That is always so hard. But I'm sure you gave your precious pup the very best life he could've ever had in his time with you~ 😔💕 xoxo ((Big Hug))
Love, love, love the ornaments, the pin balls are gorgeous, ceramic boot is pretty, the tree is beautiful. Yes, I remember Zayre's. Have a good trip tomorrow.
Steven, am so happy you are participating in multiple ways with your home group. I know you know that these people know you in ways none of the rest of us can know you, no matter how much we love you and might think we understand. I am very proud of you and your disciplin,, your altruism, and your compassion, to identify just a few attributes. Herman
Love an eclectic Christmas tree with ornaments collected over the years. We have two tees in the house, the living room one is themed (this year bronze, gold, and a burnished silver) and the one in the bedroom has ornaments that span a period of 50 years. Love my bedroom tree as it brings back a lot of good memories... All the best for a happy and safe Holiday Season.
An awesome Vlogmas #8! Your family sounds JUST..LIKE..MINE.. My parents divorced when I was in 2nd grade & during the time my dad had custody, he wanted me to learn to roll his joints. 🤭 I was never good at it.. but I started reading cookbooks when he was gone (which was a LOT) and learned over the years to cook for my brothers.. 🥰 I love all of your ornaments and the stories behind them so much. Thank you for sharing! WE ALL LOVE YOU~~ 🤗💕 p.s... I think the reason you see so many people at In-N-Out burger, is the high amount of tourists your town has, and the fact that In-N-Out is still a novelty to many people since its in so few states... 🍔🍟 xoxo
My first communion I was probably 8 years old. I didn't know you were supposed to sip the wine and took a nice big drink. I still have the dove pin my Stepmom gave me that day.
So nice Love the tree. Will be getting a Christmas package off to you soon. Waiting for another item to be delivered. Much Love Steven. Linda and Ryan Roy
Lived in Boston. Went to many Easter services at Trinity. Quite something. FYI - Clergy, in the Episcopal church, are called ministers and referred to as Reverend (fill in the name).
Love the stories, that's why I tune in!! Did you set out the stained glass Santa on your mantle this year? I love that piece and why I now go check out thrift stores every now and then bc you just never know!! Merry Christmas!!!
@flightattendantsteven I changed to flameless candles a few years ago due to pets too and the candles are great as they are programmed with a timer so automatically on/off and I love it!!
I think of that incredibly thoughtful gift often. It was so sweet! It just didn't fit the tree and it was so expensive! Thanks again for your thoughtfulness!!

@@bearpawz_ he was such a good friend, I know I did my best and I was honored and grateful to have been allowed to adopt him. Thank you.
I am so enormously sorry for your loss.

You could string the jingle bells on a cord/string and hang them down to where the cats, particularly Eleanor, could tap them.

And this is why we like watching your channel ❤

I brought that Santa out, but haven't figured out where to put him...and where the cats couldn't get at the candle.
@flightattendantsteven I changed to flameless candles a few years ago due to pets too and the candles are great as they are programmed with a timer so automatically on/off and I love it!!
How tall is your tree? 7 ft? Love the specks ! That is my second fav lol ....do you still get good parking spaces when you go to work ?
Such a homemaker😂😂

Suggestion. Wonder if the kitties would like to bet those Giant Christmas bells around the floor around
I was thinking that too. Maybe tie a few together.
I put one out, but there has been zero interest. LOL
That was me that gifted you the star. I'm still trying to get over the rejection lol JUst KiddING
