I love the way you explain theses areas and love your channel. I am 53 and your channel is helping me find my path. Thank you Dr. Puca please keep this up. ❤❤❤
Interesting take, I view levys philosophy as an advocation for freedom from self doubt, that being said, abstinence as a function of higher virtue differs from abstinence as a function of self doubt, and in the same sense, giving into desire may either be a function of higher virtue or a function of self doubt.
🤔 Buddhas 3rd noble truth states "Desire is the root of all suffering" or paraphrased, "suffering is a conflict between your desires and your reality". I'm not opposed to fulfilling wholesome desires, but there are desires that are not healthy, thus creating potential for suffering. For example, the desires of one person could create suffering in others. Sexual or financial greed are the first examples that come to mind. Maybe I'm naive to the advanced teachings of satanism, but the Buddhist culture and its practitioners are big on channeling desires into wholesome actions. There's little evidence of desire repression manifesting into psychotic episodes in these traditions. The refinement of desires is a long slow process that could take several lifetimes. Encouragement of sensual desires and to stray you from your path is the role of "Mara", probably "Satan". Two contrary schools of thought yet connected through one similar character, the tempter, Satan/Mara.
Very wise, you can go into abstinece, but only if you have a mechanism and perception that truly takes you beyond that desire, in that way it takes a form of experienctial pratyahara.
I was gonna say, Lavey should look into Hinduism and buddhism honestly a lot more (if he were alive), these really old religions already deal with a lot of these topics already discussed
"as long as it harms none undeserving" . Allows the majority of people...to do anything they want unethical and immoral as the human mind is known to justify almost anyone as ...underserving. So see thru...so this leads to ...do anything you want regardless. imo
@@taleighshacinto33 good question, We cultivate wisdom, undertanding and mercy for "the all" including ourselves and dole out the justice we would have doled out to ourselves, knowing our own inclinations in similar circumstance. Protecting survival happiness and reasonable comfort for the all and limiting the damage others can do upon ourselves or the all. But we must recognize the exact same law will be applied to ourselves degree by degree and this will cultivate mercy. Mercy is the option of Kings and Queens. so ..hopefully that gets my point across lol. Peace.

An excellent take on the philosophy of Herr Doktor by the brilliant and beautiful Doctor Puca
This guy was a genius!
Intention breeds karma which in turn traps you in cycles of compulsion. Conscious action fulfilling that intention banishes it.

I see your point. But when does conscience come in play?
