Two months ago I only had Team Yggdrasil's beys and I was wondering why Sphinx Cowl was so terrible (one is that its mass is assymetrical on one side and two, GN makes it scrape the floor a lot) so I exchanged its GN for Unicorn Sting's GP. It gave my Sphinx Cowl a lot more stamina when it's spinning on its point and at the same time it made what I thought would be the worst in the Yggdrasil's beys Unicorn Sting (due to its asymmetrical shape) into one strong defense/stamina bey. Despite its asymmetry, it's still so round and balanced so when given a defense bit it would spin on its axis so well it could sometimes outspin my Silver Wolf 9-60FB.
Glad you were able to find what worked! All Beyblades deserve a time in the sun. Unicorn sting definitely underrated, personally I think the main thing holding it back is just the light weight
@ hey quick question. Does rubber or a grippy bit for a bey reduce the amount of knockback? I know mass increases inertia but I couldn’t find anything on grip, like the more grip a bey has to the stadium the more resistant it is to change in direction or something like that.
Y'all cooked with this one. Brought it to locals and it performed surprisingly well! I really thought it would get shoved around by the likes of Wizard Rod and SW, but it plays quite well into the Stamina mirrors. I do find difficulty in going into an aggressive attacker like Keel Shark, but man was it fun to use. Ended up finishing 4th out of 23 people.

Balance tune rod ball and it spins for 3m+. People in Japan at the highest level of competition apparently have rods so tuned that they spin for 3m50s~

No way you guys stole the same combo I thought off a few months ago, jk though, while I did made the same combo, mine run on 5-60, and I use a very different strategy for it, I tilting it most time so it can go aggressive early to push Rod into running the Xtreme line and start destabilizing it or attempt X dash and KO it early, didn't expect my meme build to actually be on here and work greatly.

I actually tried something close to this combo accidentally. I was trying out different yellow parts to match the hasbro sting unicorn and I noticed it had really good stamina when I’d test launch it. Trouble is its so tall its pretty easy to destabilize if it gets attacked. So its practical usage doesn’t quite match the theory. But its a fun blade to use none the less!
I was shocked when wizard rod lost in a stamina battle, I knew I was the potential in unicorn sting (I swear it’s always stable), I like the fact that it is a pretty good destabilized too 👍
Yeah if you watched our stock combo tournament vlog, you'd see that unicorn sting is actually really stable, probably due to outwards weight distribution (some). So it definitely has a lot of potential! Definitely has a punch with the jagged edge. Weight is holding it back tho
man this is awesome but if your looking for more combos for the ultimate stamina type i use arrow wizard with 5-80 and O (tail vipers ratchet and bit) and have had it last till about 3 minutes
I manage to make silverwolf spin around 3.3x average(max 4.07m) by design over almost 30 try and error my own 3dprint bearing bit,Sadly printer i have can't print engineer filament and it end up break after sometime of use.
Not to humble brag but just over 2 minutes with wolf isn’t normal. If I balance tune a 3-60 on FB I get 2:55 on average, and without balance tuning it’s about 2:40. This is with a string launcher too. Should be easily pulling 3:20+ with Rod
Why did you pick Talon and Rudder when you could’ve used a way better stamina blade like Hell’s Scythe? That would’ve been so cool! I mean, you used Unicrocn (a balance type), so why not the Hell’s blade (chain and scythe)?

Why were none of the Needle type Bits considered? Spinning Tops that aren't Beyblades are their own hobby and almost all of the ones with long spin times use an extremely fine tip, much more fine than Ball or Orb.

gear needle is somewhat good on funky stamina combos
I put sphinx cowl on 3-85 B and see some pretty good results. I have noticed it does best with downward attacks.

String is good for stamina beys and you can launch precisely. If you use string correctly it has more RPM
