Yes, if service is available at that address. You just have to provide T-Mobile the address before moving it. It's not meant to take with you everywhere though.
1 Power off the T-Mobile gateway AND your printer. 2 Power up the T-Mobile gateway and wait for it to finish. 3 When the T-Mobile gateway is done powering up - Power up your printer. 4 Printer should reconnect. 5 If not, T-mobile support is excellent.
You cannot connect to a VPN or the connection shut down after few minutes... Very frustrated. I had to return because neither me or my wife were able to connect at our offices... The rest were fantastic, speed, Streaming, price, etc
I've had T-mo HINT for 2+ years and I have had no issues using VPN for my work it stays connected all day. I've also used AirVPN for my torrent client and it has run for months with no connection issues.
Have had mine for about a week now. Not very happy with it. It works fine, great signal and everything, then for no explanation it will go dark and shutdown. The only way to revive it is to unplug it and then plug it up again. This happens from 4 to five times a day. T-mobile is sending me a replacement. I’ll give it a try, and see how it goes. Really disappointed.
Sucks...do not recommend. Worked great for 6 months then all a sudden they say my address isn't compatible with it. Like how would I have bought it then and used it for 6 months.
Sounds similar to me. I signed up 2 years ago after waiting for 2 years when it wasn't available in my area. It was okay for the first month or so and then got really bad. (Since then it's much better) but at that time I was gonna try Verizon Home Internet but they never did become available in my area. Now I've noticed T-Mobile is changing their home internet plans and pricing and offer this new gateway so I've been doing some researching online and tried to see if I could sign up again (just out of curiosity) and none of the addresses in my area are available for the service anymore. It must mean the area isn't fully ready to support home internet users.
I have had 2 of these. When they work they are good. Mine crashes at least once a day (usually more) and requires me to power cycle it in order to restore service. I thought it was a bad unit so I had it replaced. New one does the same thing. It drops all wifi connections and then becomes completely unresponsive, does not react to button clicks etc. I requested a different kind of hardware and TM is telling me it will cost another $15/mo for the improved HW. I am like, just send me something that doesn't crash for the price we agreed to. Not happy.

The older black units are better. Have both side by side and the download is slightly slower with the white unit. Upload speed is 5 times less than the black unit. Seems like a downgrade on T-Mobile's part for these "newer" units.
2 bars is excellent service??? You lose points right there. Mine only gets 2 bars. I can check emails and texts. But watching LOW QUALITY youtube videos... Stay away from this crappy service. Average ping is 5 to 10 times longer than its wired competitors. 5G service is throttled to a max of 300 while a modern cell phone at the same location is double to triple this device. Also congestion is a significant issue when T-Mobile over sells it’s network capacity. And when you call and complain T-Mobile’s response is well this isn’t for everyone. Best advice is buyer beware because T-Mobile’s customer service is pathetic at best.
I've been a customer for over 2 years. There is no cap at 300Mbps. I have had a max DL speed of 514Mbps back in January. My average over more than 50 Speedtests in the last year is somewhere 350Mbps range. Some days it is slower, some faster. Yes, a handset in the same location is faster, but they use newer modems that can do more band aggregation. Ping issues can be solved by implementing SQM features in your router. I always recommend running an external router with this service. It takes the load off the unit and it runs significantly faster.

I like it been on since Beta and it’s worked great - of course it’s not perfect but it’s very good
Is it any good for a tv ,labtop and 2 phones can anyone tell me
@@joessepirangel7744 Yes you can connect multiple devices.
I can not get my printer to work with the gateway 5 g , been working for a month, can anyone help me ?
1 Power off the T-Mobile gateway
AND your printer.
2 Power up the T-Mobile gateway and wait for it to finish.
3 When the T-Mobile gateway is done powering up - Power up your printer.
4 Printer should reconnect.
5 If not, T-mobile support is excellent.
Some devices don't support 5g or iv6(?)
Does anyone know why it doesn’t want to connect to my PlayStation??
Reset your PS5 then go to network settings and try again. This worked for me.
do you have a business account? If so then that's the problem
Still watching but hoping i can use a wired connection to a mesh router.
Can use another router for more open ports?
Used it for over a year, I have 500+mbps down, 55+ mbps up, it is faster than my COX cable, love the new $30 price ...
How? Mines only at 20mbps💔
@@Junior-um2czsame with me what do i do

Is it any good??
I'm considering on getting their home internet plus
I’ve had it for 3 months and have not had any problems. I’m also saving over $50 a month over Xfinity/Comcast.
@@jimzimmer4027 thank you 🙏🏽
How do u turn this off
Works great for me.
The price sent me away before but I might end up with them again sucks
You cannot connect to a VPN or the connection shut down after few minutes...
Very frustrated. I had to return because neither me or my wife were able to connect at our offices...
The rest were fantastic, speed, Streaming, price, etc
I've had T-mo HINT for 2+ years and I have had no issues using VPN for my work it stays connected all day. I've also used AirVPN for my torrent client and it has run for months with no connection issues.
I use a VPN frequently with no problems.
Does the screen turn off ?
Yes
They did me the exact same way but then after cutting up on them and giving them
A verbal lashing they left me alone 😂
No Katie that doesn’t mean the device and service sucks. It means you’re a dumbass who can’t figure out to work the device properly.
I get 20 download speed on my ps5 and with the lan cable connected it gets me 25🤦🏽♂️
I have had 2 of these. Not happy.
Have same one i max out 300mbps download and 3mbps upload i have my router in the window 4 bars i have my xbox hooked up to it wired
Nice I have to hard wire my Xbox and PS5 too. Let me know how you do that.
My speeds i max 300mbps download and upload either 1mbps or 3mbps upload my area not good with Upload i did replace my old ethernet csbles for Cat5e @@GillisDaKid
Does it work good hooked up hardwired to the Xbox
@@caseygeter2359 I just tested it hardwired to my computer and gaming consoles, and it works like a charm! Excellent performance 🙌🏾
@GillisDaKid my Xbox is Wired with Cat5e cables goes to network switch to the modem
This 5G gateway tmoblie white sucks I can't even connect to my roku tv
I hear that. Me either
It did to mine I had problem with the onn Roku it is the TV not the Internet after few trays it connects
Well that was nice. Thank you.
It works great
It stays on when plugged into outlet. The app is for changing WiFi names and stuff like that. The antenna ports are for future stuff to come.
@@GillisDaKid The future stuff to come has been out for years lol. Waveform antennas in one medium or small chassis provides 4 antennas in a small format. TMobile also has their own brand which is very similar.
You need to do some reading instead of being like an Amazon customer LOL.
I have to reset it threw out the day ;(
Go with the black Sq tower. The internal antennas stink in this one. An external aren't FREE! More like $299 I think. Have better signal an speed with the black Sq tower. Even a ter 2 tech said this one sucks an they work for T-Mobile
The older black units are better. Have both side by side and the download is slightly slower with the white unit. Upload speed is 5 times less than the black unit. Seems like a downgrade on T-Mobile's part for these "newer" units.
Took forever to set up. It's rebooting forever
2 bars is excellent service??? You lose points right there. Mine only gets 2 bars. I can check emails and texts. But watching LOW QUALITY youtube videos... They are constantly pausing and showing the spinning thingy, trying to catch up. I don't call that excellent service. While it's good to have the basic service during a power outage, it's not something I would want to live with on a daily basis.
Move it. Find out where the nearest tower is and line it up. Put by window and raise up of necessary.
@@lisaduarte7534 I have moved it everywhere possible on my property. Getting it as high as possible. Inside, outside, every side of the house. Etc. Still only the two bars.
All that still doesn't address the fact that he called two bars, "excellent service", and it obviously is not excellent service.
@@lisaduarte7534 Thank you for trying to help. I moved the unit everywhere possible on the property. Still only 2 bars. And that still doesn't change the fact that he called 2 bars "excellent service", and two bars will not let me watch even the lowest quality TH-cam video. NOT 'excellent service'.
One of the worst gateways, I'm getting frequent disconnects every time I download, web browsing and video streaming zero issues wtf man 😡
@ 6:00 you give us a view of that phone number... just a heads up =)
@marcus3078 Its different number. Can't do anything with it anyway.
@@GillisDaKid ok sounds good - just wanted to point it out... people on internet are crazy =) Thanks for the video!
Thank you baby 😊😊
I wasted hours trying to get the router working they tried to blame it on my new Panasonic TV stay away from T Mobile
Did you steal it
I lag wen I’m playing 2k
Me too…any fix yet?
Can't get my tv going, otherwise internet works great
Stay away from this crappy service.
Are you a cox cable employee?😅
@@ROBERTHAYS46789 Firetruck (you can figure out which letter to remove) you. Wait until you have a problem and you will discover how crappy T-Mobile is. BTW they also are good at disconnecting your service and still billing you for it.
it depends on your location
After two of those gateways and weeks of constant resets and "tower issues", a friend found the B9B1 gateway and we traded for the third time.
Haven't had any issues in two weeks!
Tech support should know?
This shi so mid I be lagging with only one thing connected
happy birthday 🎂 birthday 🎂 birthday 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Complete trash. Just got this POS. All I get is Connected without internet. Have tried resetting and starting over 5 times. Moving on..
Well by, mine works great
😂😂😂😂 is slow like a turtle 🐢 bro 😎 get Xfinity Comcast is faster . I have been with them over many years
Everyone is not eligible for Xfinity. It all depends on where you live.
T mobile is trash. Customer service is trash. I tried it for one day and it sucked. No big deal though, 14 day free trial right? Nope, got a bill for $75. Mistakes happen, I call they say, oh our bad. We will fix it. Then I get a bill for $2.50. wtf? 🤦♂️ call again, sarcastic person on the phone and 25 more minutes of my life later. They credit me $2.50. Such a hassle and terrible service for mediocre internet. Verizone 5g home internet is wayy better I can get up to 2gb of download speed and a ping of 20 to 30, t mobile sucks
