I have platinum bond duo. Is it largely interchangeable with platinum filler base? Is one or the other generally better for thin bendy nails? Loving mega stick base so far! It’s the only product that lets me get 2 weeks wear without too much lifting
hi paola, thanks for another informative video! i currently use leaf gel extreme clear base and sculpting gel. however i did have a question that i wanted to know your thoughts on: i’ve noticed that japanese gel brand make their overlay gel as a base (as in before art/color) while korean companies tend to make their overlay gels to be used after base and art/color (but obviously before topcoat). do you think the difference impacts the retention/wearability of the nail? or would you say it shouldn’t really make that much of a difference? have you personally tried korean overlay gels?
Great question. Either will yield long retention. It's a matter of strategizing your application. If your art is going to add bilk, is better to overlay thin first, then art, then you'll be able to gauge how much to structure.

Paola im currently using gel bottle. Most of my clients have very problematic nails and i find the rubber base does really well for them but im not crazy about the line. I was thinking of switching over to new thoughts. Can you give me a comparison? Thanks

I have a client with medium strong nails. However, she works with her hands in water a lot, which means they are flexing. Would it be better to apply kokoist mega stick first before platinum filler or would it really just be better to move over to nail thoughts?
Well, you know your options, so it is just a matter of choosing what you prefer. I leave Filler Base only for fills, as alone it may be too hard for some clients.

I have never tried The Gel Bottle. I believe that one and Luminary have too much monomer which can lead to irritation/allergies.

Yes! 20- Sugar Glaze, 24- Baby Cakes, 27- Lip Gloss.... and if you have room for one more 23- Chai Latte.

Hmmm… not really, but you still do want to apply it w/ som thickness.
